Jasper Diefenbach (born 17 March 1988) is a Dutch male volleyball player. He is part of the Netherlands men's national volleyball team. On club level he plays for the Dutch club VVU. [1]

Hendrik Theodorus Petrus "Dirk-Jan" van Gendt is a retired volleyball player from the Netherlands and was part of the Netherlands men's national volleyball team. He represented his native country at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. There he ended up in ninth place with the Dutch Men's National Team. He also competed at the 2001 Men's European Volleyball Championship, 2002 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship in Argentina, 2007 Men's European Volleyball Championship and 2013 FIVB Volleyball World League. He played for the Moerser Sportclub (Germany).
Ronald ("Ron") Ferdinand Zwerver is a retired volleyball player from the Netherlands who represented his native country in three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 1988 in Seoul, South Korea. He was one of the dominant forces in Dutch volleyball in the 1990s. He was selected as the Best Attacker at both the 1990 and 1994 FIVB World Championships.
Julio Velasco is an Argentine former professional volleyball player and coach. He's had Italian citizenship obtained in 1992. Velasco was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2005. Velasco currently serves as a sports director for the Italian Volleyball Federation.

The competition was first contested in 1989 in Italy. It was not held between 1993 and 2008, but since 2009, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar and Brazil except in 2017 and 2018 where both hosted by Poland.
The FIVB Volleyball Women's Club World Championship is an international women's club volleyball competition organised by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1991 in Brazil. It was not held between 1995 and 2009, but since 2010, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar, Switzerland, the Philippines, Japan, China and Turkey. The competition was held in Zhejiang Province of China in 2018 and 2019. After the 2020 championship was cancelled due to corona virus pandemic, the competition was held in Turkey in 2021.

The competition was first contested in 1999 in China. It was not held in 2003 and 2020 due to 2002–2004 SARS outbreak and COVID-19 pandemic respectively.
