Jassim bin Saif bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti is the Qatari Minister of Transport. He was appointed as minister on 26 June 2013. [1] [2] [3]
Al Sulaiti holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (1985) and a Master of Military Science (1997). [1] [4]
Prior to working as minister,Al Sulaiti served in the Qatar Armed Forces as Brigadier General and Commander of the Maintenance Arms. [4] He is the chairman of Qatar Ports Management and QTerminals. [5]
Between January 2016 and October 2021,Al Sulaiti served as Minister of Transport and Communications. [4]
Al Sulaiti was made Commander of the Legion of Honour in 2016. [6]
The political system of Qatar runs under an authoritarian semi-constitutional monarchy with the emir as head of state and chief executive,and the prime minister as the head of government.
