Eva Baltasar is a Catalan poet and writer. She has a bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from the University of Barcelona. She has published ten books of poetry, which have earned numerous awards including the 2008 Miquel de Palol, the 2010 Benet Ribas, and the 2015 Gabriel Ferrater. Baltasar's first novel, Permafrost, received the 2018 Catalan Booksellers Award and it has sold the translation rights to six languages.
The Ramon Llull Novel Award is an honor given annually to a novel originally written in Catalan. Conceived in 1981 by editor José Manuel Lara Hernández, it is awarded by the Planeta publishing house in conjunction with the Government of Andorra. It confers a monetary prize, originally 250,000 pesetas and now €60,000. It recognizes works of the greatest economic value in the Catalan language.
The Maria Àngels Anglada Prize is a Catalan literary award, given annually by the Institut Ramon Muntaner, in Figueres (Spain), with the aim of contributing to the promotion of Catalan literature, reaffirming the civic and cultural projection of the school and extolling the memory of the writer Maria Àngels Anglada, ex-professor of the centre. The award has the support of the Geli-Anglada family and the sponsorship of the Ajuntament de Figueres and the Diputació de Girona, as well as the collaboration of the Consell Comarcal de l'Alt Empordà.

Carles Capdevila i Plandiura was a Catalan journalist and writer, director of the newspaper Ara for its first five years and from 28 November 2015 onwards founding director. He presented and directed the programmes Eduqueu les criatures in Catalunya Ràdio and Qui els va parir in TV3. He was deputy director of the program Malalts de tele. He directed the section Alguna pregunta més?, within El matí de Catalunya Ràdio. He received the humor and satire award 'Premi Pere Quart d'humor i sàtira' in 1999 for the book Criatura i companyia and in 2016 the National Prize for Communication. He died from colorectal cancer on 1 June 2017.

The Mercè Rodoreda Award for stories and narrations, officially and in Catalan Premi Mercè Rodoreda is a literary award in the Catalan language convened by Òmnium Cultural and the Fundació Enciclopèdia Catalana and published by Edicions Proa. Initially called the Víctor Català Award, which was awarded for the first time in 1953, in 1998 it changed its name to become the current Mercè Rodoreda Award for stories and narratives.
The Permanent Picture is a 2023 Spanish-French drama film directed by Laura Ferrés in her feature debut, from a screenplay written by Ferrés with the collaboration of Carlos Vermut and Ulises Porra. It stars newcomers María Luengo and Rosario Ortega.
