Javed Malik is a diplomat,noted media personality and the President of the Diplomat Business Club based in London and Dubai. Malik served as Pakistan's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain between 2015 [1] and 2018, [2] and the Prime Minister's Special Envoy for Trade and Investment between 2013 and 2018. Earlier,Malik also served as Pakistan's Ambassador at Large for Overseas Pakistanis between 2008 and 2011. [1] Currently he is the President of International Diplomat Forum based out of London,Dubai and Islamabad. [3]
Malik is the current president of the Diplomat Business Club,an international trade and economic diplomacy forum that connects business and corporate leaders to explore trade and investment opportunities. He is also the regional director MENA of the Ambassador Partnership LLP. [4] [5] [6]
In 2016,Javed Malik was appointed as Pakistan's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain. [7]
He presented his credentials to His Majesty King Hamad Al Khalifa in March 2016, [8] and during his tenure the relations between Pakistan and Bahrain were upgraded to a Joint Ministerial Commission which held its first session in December 2016 under the co-chairmanship of Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Khalid Bin Ahmad Al Khalifa and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz. [9] The Commission agreed a roadmap to expand the diplomatic,political,trade,economic,people to people and cultural ties between both countries. This was followed by the Pakistan Bahrain Business Opportunities Conferences both in Pakistan and Bahrain led by the Commerce Ministers and Presidents of Chambers of Commerce of both countries. [10]
In the same year,An MOU to establish the King Hamad University in Islamabad was also signed during Javed Malik’s tenure,which serves as a symbol of the strong bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Bahrain. [11]
In 2013,Javed Malik was appointed as Pakistan's Special Envoy to the GCC. with the rank of an Ambassador by the Prime Minister and given the mandate to promote business,trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan. In this capacity,he initiated a series of activities andmencouraged international investors to visit Pakistan [12] and organised a number of seminars and conferences to highlight trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan. [13]
In 2008,the Prime Minister of Pakistan appointed Javed Malik as Pakistan's Ambassador at Large with the status of a minister. [14]
In this capacity,he advised and assisted the Prime Minister on issues relating to Overseas Pakistanis. He established the Overseas Pakistanis forum,which held its first session in the UAE, [15] and he also organized the Friends of Pakistan Conference in Islamabad in which UK Parliamentarians also took part. [16]
Malik has a noted background in print and television media since 1999 as a prominent political and international affairs analyst and television host. He began his television career in London with Prime TV and later with ARY News,where he hosted,"Insight" - A Current Affairs talk show for more than ten years. [17] He is also associated with Geo News / Jang Group and writes for their publications,The News International [18] and Daily Jang. [19] He also writes for the Middle East publication,Khaleej Times. [2] and continues to appear on various television shows as an international affairs analyst.

Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is an Emirati royal and politician who serves as minister of finance of the United Arab Emirates,deputy ruler of Dubai and chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated. He was named as deputy ruler in February 2008 when his elder brother Hamdan was made crown prince. He served as deputy ruler alongside his uncle Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum until the latter's death in March 2021. Since then until 2023,he was the sole deputy ruler under his father Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's reign. In April 2023,his younger brother Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Rashid was also named deputy ruler. In September 2021,he was appointed deputy prime minister and finance minister of the UAE.
Extremely strong and cordial relations exist between Bahrain and Pakistan. Bahrain maintains an embassy in Islamabad and a Consulate-General in Karachi,whilst Pakistan maintains an embassy in Manama. Both countries are members of the OIC and of the G 77.
Pakistan–United Arab Emirates relations refer to bilateral relations between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates . These relations date back to the UAE's formation in 1971,and have since evolved into wide-ranging co-operation in various fields. Pakistan was the first country to extend recognition of the United Arab Emirates,while the UAE has previously been a donor of economic and financial assistance to Pakistan it has happened the other way too. UAE recognizes Pakistan's contribution to the evolution of key institutions in the Emirates while Pakistan recognizes UAE's investment in Pakistan's economy and infrastructure. Both countries' populations share the same faith and are majorly Muslim.
Political,socio-economic,military and cultural ties exist between India and Bahrain. India is a close ally of Bahrain. As per Indian officials,the Kingdom along with its GCC partners are amongst the world's most prominent supporters of India's candidacy for a permanent seat on the UN Security Council,and Bahraini officials have urged India to play a greater role in international affairs. For instance,over concerns about Iran's nuclear programme,Bahrain's Crown Prince requested India to play an active role in resolving the crisis.
Israel–United Arab Emirates relations had been jagged and fueled by mutual distrust and hatred for several decades,but in the 2010s,the countries' informal relations improved considerably and they began engaging in extensive unofficial cooperation based on their joint opposition to Iran's nuclear program and regional influence. In 2015,Israel opened an official diplomatic mission in Abu Dhabi to the International Renewable Energy Agency.
China –United Arab Emirates relations refer to the diplomatic relations between the People's Republic of China and the United Arab Emirates. Diplomatic ties were first established in 1984. The UAE maintains an embassy in Beijing and a consulate-general in Hong Kong while China has an embassy in Abu Dhabi and consulate-general in Dubai. The UAE and China have been strong international allies,with significant cooperation across economic,political and cultural aspects.
The United Arab Emirates has an embassy in London while the United Kingdom maintains an embassy in Abu Dhabi and is unique in having another Embassy in Dubai,albeit with His Britannic Majesty's Consul-General to Dubai and the Northern Emirates,as opposed to a separate British Ambassador. The UAE-UK relations have been described as a "special relationship".
The Cabinet of Bahrain is the chief executive body of the Kingdom of Bahrain. According to Article 32 (b) of the 2002 Constitution,"executive authority is vested in the King together with the Council of Ministers and Ministers". The Council of Ministers (Cabinet) is appointed directly by the King . Bahrain has had only two Prime Ministers since the country's independence in 1971,Khalifah ibn Sulman al-Khalifah,the uncle of the reigning King Hamad ibn Isa al-Khalifah. Khalifah ibn Sulman al-Khalifah died on 11 November 2020,and was succeeded by the King's son,Crown Prince Salman. As of 2010,roughly half of the cabinet ministers have been selected from the Al Khalifa family,including the Minister of Defence,Minister of Interior,Minister of Foreign Affairs,Minister of Finance,and Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs.

King of Bahrain Hamad bin Essa al Khalifa supported the project for establishing the first ever state-of-the-art Nursing university in Pakistan. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif laid the foundation of the university;
