Jawani Ki Hawa is a 1959 Hindi film directed by M. Sadiq. It stars Pradeep Kumar, Vyjayanthimala, Johnny Walker in the lead roles.
In a Bombay bound Mail Train, Lata (Vyjayanthimala) a spirited girl, playing hide and seek with the T.T.E. on the running train encounters Chand (Pradeep Kumar) a destitute graduate who is made to pay her fare and part with almost all the money he has. Reaching Bombay, their misadventures culminate in court, and they are charged as vagabonds. Lata using her wits gets their acquittal and they part in pursuit of their respective goals. Time marches on, Chand fails to find a job and falls victim to a hoax by Dhakosla (Johnny Walker) and is compelled to part with all his belongings, including his coat. In this vicissitude, Chand is spotted by an eccentric millionaire, Banarasidas (Badri Prasad), who sends him on a wild goose chase with the temptation of wealth if he finds and brings to him his long lost child, Sandhya. Incidentally, Chand again meets Lata, now rolling in money and luxury. She asks him to stay with her, but he gets suspicious of her means of achieving so much in such a short time and declines her offer. The same night, Chand encounters Dhakosla again, who dreading the wrath of the hoax he played uses his wits and takes Chand to Shankar Dada's (Raj Mehra) place with whom he himself is staying as an uninvited guest. Early in the morning, Chand awakens to the vibrations of the music and his inquisitiveness brings him face to face with Lata, in the process of a film shooting. Chand realises the folly of his doubts and he is reconciled. Lata invites them all over to her place for dinner, and there a new doubt creeps into Chand. That Lata might be the lost child of Banarasidas. His attempt to establish the identity turns adverse and loses Lata's love and confidence. Not long afterwards, Chand finds himself entangled in a gang of child lifters and there finding Sandhya (Purnima) rescues her and hastens to Banarasidas weaving a rosy and bright future for the poor girl and himself. His whole dream is shattered when the father learns that Sandhya is soon to become the mother of a child and refuses to accept her back. Chand brings her back to the slums but the people label Sandhya as a Wanton woman and reject her. Chand revolts at the degradation of humanity and man made law and proclaims Sandhya as his wife to be, Lest the love for Lata may not deviate him from his determination, he along with Sandhya leaves Bombay. Lata, learning of Chand's sacrifice and the purpose of his sudden departure pursues them and persuades him to return to Bombay, as she would stand by him in this noble cause and as an elder sister to Sandhya unite them in wedlock. The news fishes, causing upheavals in so many directions, unfolding the unusual turn of events from this point would betray the impact of the surprising climax.

Ravi Shankar Sharma, often referred mononymously as Ravi, was an Indian music director who had composed music for several Hindi and Malayalam films.

She is still active making some music for some movies and television-serials, more than 40 years after her debut as music director in Dil Deke Dekho (1959). She received a Filmfare Award nomination for composing the songs for the huge hit film Souten (1983). She was married to director, producer, lyricist, Sawan Kumar Tak, from whom she separated later on.
Kavi Pradeep, was an Indian poet and songwriter who is best known for his patriotic song "Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo" written as a tribute to the soldiers who had died defending the country during the Sino-Indian War.
Vinod Mehra was an Indian actor in Hindi films. He started out as a child actor in the mid 1950s before starting his film career as an adult in 1971. He acted in over 100 films from the 1970s through to his death at the age of 45 in 1990. He was also the producer and director of the film Gurudev which was released 3 years after his death.

Vyjayanthimala Bali, known mononymously as Vyjayanthimala, is an Indian parliamentarian, dancer and former actress. Regarded as one of Hindi cinema's finest actresses and dancers, she is the recipient of several accolades, including five Filmfare Awards and two BFJA Awards. Considered the first female superstar of Indian Cinema, she made her screen debut at the age of 16 with the Tamil film Vaazhkai (1949), and followed this with a role in the Telugu film Jeevitham (1950). Her first work in Hindi cinema was the social guidance film Bahar (1951), which she headlined, and achieved her breakthrough with the romance Nagin (1954).
Anil Krishna Biswas, professionally known as Anil Biswas, was an Indian film music director and playback singer from 1935 to 1965, who apart from being one of pioneers of playback singing, is also credited for the first Indian orchestra of twelve pieces and introducing orchestral music and full-blooded choral effects, into Indian cinema. A master in western symphonic music was known for the Indian classical or folk elements, especially Baul and Bhatiyali in his music. Out of his over 90 films, most memorable were, Roti (1942), Kismet (1943), Anokha Pyar (1948), Tarana (1951), Waaris (1954), Pardesi (1957) and Char Dil Char Rahen (1959).

The rest of the cast includes Simi Garewal, Ranjeet and Satyen Kappu. It was a remake of 1959 film Do Ustad. The music is by Kalyanji Anandji. The film became a "semi-hit" at the box office.

Prince is a drama set in the times of resurgent India when the nation threw off the British yoke, but some states still languished under the Princely yoke. It is the story of a Prince who brought about his own downfall so that he may rise as a human being. Vyjayanthimala got married in 1968 and then completed this film in 1969.
Gulshan Kumar Mehta, popularly known by his pen name Gulshan Bawra, was an Indian songwriter and actor in Hindi cinema. In a career spanning 42 years, he has to his credit about 240 songs, he collaborated with noted music directors like Kalyanji Anandji, Shankar Jaikishan, and R. D. Burman. He composed almost half of the songs in films like Khel Khel Mein (1975), Kasme Vaade (1978) and Satte Pe Satta (1982). Apart from R. D. Burman hits, he is most remembered for his songs like 'Mere Desh Ki Dharti" in Upkaar (1968) and "Yaari Hai Imaan Mera" in Zanjeer (1974), both of which got him the Filmfare Best Lyricist Award. The latter also topped the Binaca Geetmala annual list of 1973. As a character actor, he also appeared in a small number of Hindi films.
