Before entering elected office,Luneau opened the Luneau Law Office in Alexandria. Still in operation,the law office represents small businesses and individuals in workers compensation,personal injury,and damage claims cases. [4] Luneau won 59.34% of the vote in the October 24,2015 jungle primary over Republican Joseph Dara. [5] Winning re-election on October 12,2019,Luneau received 61.46% of votes in the primary election,against Republican opponent Randy Wiggins. [6]
