Jay Niemann (born November 27, 1960) is an American college football coach. He is the assistant defensive line coach for the University of Iowa, a position he has held since 2019. [1] [2] [3] [4] He was the head football coach for Simpson College from 2002 to 2007. [5] [6] He also coached for Western Washington, [7] Washington, [8] Drake, [9] Northern Iowa, [10] Hardin–Simmons, Northern Illinois, [11] Rutgers, [12] [13] and Wyoming. [14] He played college football for Iowa State as a linebacker. [15]
Niemann has two sons, Nick and Ben. Both are linebackers in the National Football League (NFL). [16]

Abdul Raheeda Hodge is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the tight ends coach at Iowa, where he played as a 3-time all Big-Ten linebacker. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft.
LeVar Woods is the special teams coach at the University of Iowa, where he played linebacker during his college career. As a professional football player, he was originally signed by the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2001, played for a season and a half with the Detroit Lions (2005–2006), and finished his career with the Tennessee Titans (2006–2007).
Mark Farley is an American football coach. He is the head coach at the University of Northern Iowa, a position he has held since 2001. The 2013 Rutgers Scarlet Knights football team represented Rutgers University in the 2013 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Scarlet Knights played their home games at High Point Solutions Stadium in Piscataway, NJ as a member of the American Athletic Conference. Tim Polasek is an American college football coach and former player. He is currently the head football coach at North Dakota State University. Prior to becoming the 32nd Head Coach in program history at NDSU, he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for 3 seasons (2021,2022,2023) at the University of Wyoming under former Bison head coach, Craig Bohl. He also served as the offensive coordinator at North Dakota State University in Fargo for three seasons from 2014-2016 where he helped the Bison to two consecutive NCAA Division I Football Championships in addition to winning two more National Championships as a position coach (2011,2012) He spent the 2013 season coaching Tight ends and fullbacks at Northern Illinois before returning to NDSU for the 2014 season.
