Jayaprada is a 1939 Telugu-language historical drama film directed by Ch. Narasimha Rao. [1] [2] This film was also released with the title Puroorava chakravarti. This is the first movie for which S. Rajeswara Rao gave a full music score as a composer. C. S. R. Anjaneyulu played the role of Puroorava in this film.

Plot

Pururava was one of the six mightiest emperors of ancient India. When an army attacks his fort, unwilling to have a bloodshed because of a possible fight, Pururava escapes with his wife and two kids to a forest close by. From there the king and the queen are employed at a prosperous person by name Narayana Sait. The rest of the story moves around how Sani, the planet that troubles people creates perils for Pururava and his wife and how they win over them. The story ends showing Pururava in his pomp and glory, surmounting all his difficulties. [3]

Pururavas Legendary king in ancient India

Pururavas was the king and the first of the Aila dynasty or the chandravamsha. According to the Vedas, he is a legendary entity associated with Surya and Usha, and is believed to reside in the middle region of the cosmos. The Rig Veda (X.95.18) states that he was a son of Ilā and was a pious ruler. However, the Mahabharata states that Ila was both his mother and his father. <i>Kinar</i> (film) 2018 film by M. A. Nishad

Kinar, titled Keni in, is a 2018 Indian drama film co-written and directed by M. A. Nishad. It was produced by the studio of Fragrant Nature Film Creations, and was made simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil. Focusing on the issue of water scarcity in a town between Kerala and Tamil Nadu, the film stars Jayaprada and Revathi, with different sets of ensemble cast for the two versions. M.
