Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, also known in English as St John the Baptist Day, is a holiday celebrated on June 24 in the Canadian province of Quebec and by French Canadians across Canada and the United States. It was brought to Canada by French settlers celebrating the traditional feast day of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist. It was declared a public holiday in Quebec in 1925, with publicly financed events organized province-wide by a Comité organisateur de la fête nationale du Québec.

She founded the Sisters of the Holy Family in 1836 and served as their first Mother Superior. The sisters are the second-oldest surviving congregation of African-American nuns.

He was professional from 1946 to 1953 and had 14 victories which included two stage wins and wearing the yellow jersey as leader of the general classification in the Tour de France for three stages. Other wins included cyclo-cross champion of Luxembourg in 1946 and 1947 and road race champion of Luxembourg in 1947 and 1950.
Jan Engels or Jean Engels is a former Belgian professional road bicycle racer. He was professional from 1945 to 1952 and won 7 victories. He wore the yellow jersey in the 1948 Tour de France. His victories included the 1945 edition of Liège–Bastogne–Liège,

Camille Danguillaume was a French cyclist. He won Liège–Bastogne–Liège in 1949. He rode in the 1947, 1948 and 1949 Tour de France. He died of head injuries four days after colliding with two motorcycles at the 1950 French National Road Championships at Montlhéry. He was the uncle of fellow racing cyclist Jean-Pierre Danguillaume.
