Jean-Pierre Van Zyl (born 15 August 1975) is a South African track cyclist. He won medals in the UCI Track Cycling World Championships - a silver medal in keirin in 1997 and a bronze medal in scratch in 2003.

He is a three-time African Champion in the event and competed for his country at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics.

After retiring in 1998 Heynderickx came back in 2005 as assistant director for Chocolade Jacques–T Interim. In 2019 he left Team Dimension Data for his current team.
