Jeannette Faber (born April 28, 1982) is an American long-distance runner. [2] She competed in the marathon event at the 2013 World Championships in Athletics in Moscow, Russia where she placed 23rd in 2:44:03. [3] Faber qualified for the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials at 2013 California International Marathon. [4] She has won eight marathons. [5]

Her time at the Boston Marathon was the fastest time by an American woman at that race for 28 years. She was inducted into the Maine Women's Hall of Fame in 2000.

Lanni Marchant is a Canadian long distance runner from London, Ontario. On October 20th, 2013, Marchant set the Canadian women's marathon record at the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon, beating the 28-year-old national record by running it in exactly 2:28:00. This record held until March 10th, 2019 when Rachel Cliff established the new marathon national record in 2:26:56. Marchant participated at the 2016 Summer Olympics both in the 10,000 metres and marathon events.
