Jeff Atkins is a former American football running back.

Atkins grew up in the Butler housing project in Fort Worth, Texas. [1] He attended Fort Worth's Eastern Hills High School. As a senior, he rushed for 2,333 yards and scored 25 touchdowns. He was the No. 1 recruit from Texas. [2] He rushed for 310 and 329 yards in individual games and was later described as "the most celebrated player in the history of Fort Worth high school football." [1]

He played college football as a tailback for the SMU Mustangs from 1983 to 1986, tallying 3,260 rushing yards and scoring 31 touchdowns. [3] He set an SMU freshman record with 218 rushing yards against Rice. [1] He also broke Earl Campbell's Southwest Conference freshman rushing record. [4]

He was not selected in the NFL draft and tried out, unsuccessfully, with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 1987. [1] [5] He attempted a comeback and played in several games for the Dallas Texans of the Arena Football League during the 1991 season. [6] [7]

The 2008 Texas A&M football team represented Texas A&M University in the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was led by first-year head coach Mike Sherman, who replaced Dennis Franchione after the previous season.

Edorian McCullough is a former sprinter and American football cornerback and running back. He won the Texas high school championship in the 100 meters in consecutive years as a junior and senior and set district records with 340 rushing yards in a single game and 1,755 yards in a season. Rated as one of the top high school football players in the country, he signed with the University of Texas where he played in all 13 games as a true freshman and was selected as the Longhorns' Outstanding Defensive Newcomer Award. He left the University of Texas after one season due to academic issues and transferred to the City College of San Francisco, where he was selected as a Junior College All-American in 2004. He signed with Oregon State University in 2005, but he failed to meet the school's academic requirements and did not play for the Beavers. In 2006, he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent, but he was released in early September 2006 as part of the final cut before the start of the regular season. He was a member of the 2007 Frankfurt Galaxy team that lost the NFL Europa championship to the Hamburg Sea Devils in World Bowl XV. He signed with the West Texas Roughnecks of the Indoor Football League in 2010.

Kelan Luker is a former American football player and rock musician and a current American football coach. He played at the quarterback position for Southern Methodist University and at the bass guitar position for the band Submersed.

The 1915 SMU Mustangs football team represented the Southern Methodist University (SMU) as a member of the Texas Intercollegiate Athletic Association (TIAA) during the 1915 college football season. Led by first-year head coach Ray Morrison, the Mustangs compiled an overall record of 2–5.

Kenneth Wade Hill, Jr. is an American football coach and former quarterback who is currently the quarterbacks coach for TCU. He previously played for the Texas A&M Aggies and TCU Horned Frogs. In his first start with the Aggies, he broke Johnny Manziel's school single-game passing yards record with 511 yards.

Sam Ehlinger American football player (born 1998)

Samuel George Ehlinger is an American football quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League (NFL). He played high school football at Westlake in Austin, Texas, where he broke various school records held by Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks Drew Brees and Nick Foles, before committing to play college football for the Texas Longhorns. As a freshman there, Ehlinger split playing time with quarterback Shane Buechele before taking over as the starter in 2018, where he led the team to the 2018 Big 12 Championship Game and two bowl games. He was selected by the Colts in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Alan Bowman is an American football quarterback for the Michigan Wolverines. He previously played for Texas Tech from 2018 through 2020.
