Jeffrey Nimoy is an American voice actor and writer best known as the voice of Nicholas D. Wolfwood from Trigun , [1] [2] and Tentomon (and his higher Digivolution forms) from the Digimon series. [3] Nimoy has reprised his roles of Tentomon and Gennai in the Digimon tri. film series. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]
Nimoy wrote, directed, and served as story editor for the English adaptation of the Digimon: Digital Monsters anime (1999–2001 series and the franchise films Digimon: The Movie and Digimon 02: Revenge of Diaboromon ). He also served as an executive producer and writer on numerous other Fox Kids series. Prior to that, he was nominated for three Emmy Awards in four years, winning once, for his comedic work as a writer and producer for NFL Films Presents on ESPN and Fox. [10] He also co-wrote the Showtime movie Big Brother Trouble (2000), and the animated series Pecola . He is the second cousin once removed of Leonard Nimoy. Nicholas D. Wolfwood, also known as Nicholas the Punisher, is a major character in the Trigun manga series created by Yasuhiro Nightow, as well as its anime adaptation. He is a priest who wields a large cross-shaped gun named the Punisher, which he and his former colleagues use either in saving people or for complete destruction. After showing potential in the orphanage in which he was raised, Chapel trained and modified him, giving him enhanced abilities and the ability to regenerate from heavy injuries using special vials. He was given a special large cross-shaped gun called the Punisher, which contains two machine guns and a rocket launcher. Wolfwood is found nearly dead in the desert by protagonist Vash the Stampede. They become recurring allies despite acting on different morals when fighting.
