Jeff Rutter (born January 28, 1965) is an American basketball coach. He currently serves as an assistant men's basketball coach at Western Michigan. Rutter also served as the interim head coach at Drake from December 2016 to March 2017.
Rutter has served as an assistant coach at the Division II and Division I levels. He moved with Greg McDermott from Northern Iowa to Iowa State in 2006 [1] and stayed on as director of basketball operations at Iowa State after McDermott was replaced by Fred Hoiberg. [2]
Following the December 2016 resignation of Ray Giacoletti, Rutter took his first Division I head coaching job as the interim head coach of Drake. Since Drake he has served as an assistant and Miami (OH) and Western Michigan [3]

*Took over as head coach for the rest of the season when Ray Giacoletti resigned on December 6, 2016. Drake's record for the 2016–17 season was 7–24 overall and 5–13 in the MVC.
Raymond Bryan Giacoletti is a retired men's basketball coach, having served as head coach at Drake University, and The University of Utah. He played collegiate basketball at Minot State University in North Dakota from 1980 to 1984, where he was a four-year letterman and a team captain for two seasons. He received his degree in physical education in 1985.
Trent Aubrey Johnson is a former American college basketball coach. Johnson had previously been the head coach at Cal State Northridge, Texas Christian University, Louisiana State University, Stanford University, and University of Nevada.
Keno Emlen Davis an American basketball coach who is the head coach for the Flint United. He was most recently the men's basketball head coach at Central Michigan University. Davis was previously head coach at Drake University for one season (2007–2008), where he was named the 2008 Associated Press College Basketball Coach of the Year, and at Providence College for three seasons (2008-2011). Davis also served as an assistant coach at Drake from 2003–2007 under his father Tom Davis prior to starting his coaching career.

He formerly served as interim head coach for the 2020–2021 season at Penn State and the head men's basketball coach at Duquesne, Long Island, Adelphi, and Plymouth State.
The Drake Bulldogs men's basketball team represents Drake University, located in Des Moines, Iowa, in NCAA Division I basketball competition and is coached by Darian DeVries. The program is best known for making the 1969 Final Four.

They were invited to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Abilene Christian in the first round in a game referred to as the Lou Henson Classic. In the second round they were defeated by Northern Colorado.

They finished the season 24–10, 12–6 to earn a share of the MVC regular season championship. As the No. 2 seed in the MVC tournament, they defeated Illinois State before losing to Northern Iowa in the semifinals. They received a bid to the CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they lost in the first round to Southern Utah.
Brad X. McCaslin is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the defensive tackles coach at the University at Buffalo. He was previously head coach at Benedictine University, and a long-time assistant at the University of Nebraska Omaha prior to the discontinuance of football at that institution after the 2010 season. He also spent four seasons as a defensive coordinator under Chris Creighton at Drake University and Eastern Michigan University.

Doug Novak is an American basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Northern Kentucky Norse women's basketball team. Before coaching for Northern Kentucky, Novak was the interim head coach of the Mississippi State women's basketball team from 2021 to 2022 following the resignation of head coach Nikki McCray-Penson due to health concerns. Novak has been head coach before, coaching the Iowa Western Reivers, Anderson Trojans, and Bethel Royals men's basketball teams.
