Jeff Wulbrun (born August 5, 1960) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the University of Denver Pioneers men's basketball team. [1]

Coaching career

Wulbrun's first coaching experience came under Lou Campanelli as an assistant coach at Cal, where he stayed on staff until Campanelli's retirement before joining Kevin Stallings as an assistant at Illinois State. [1] In 1997, Wulbrun would leave college coaching to work in the private sector while also coaching high school basketball at Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, Illinois from 2002 to 2007. [2] In 2011, Wulbrun would accept a spot as director of basketball operations for Seth Greenberg at Virginia Tech for a season before joining Jerod Haase as an assistant coach at UAB. [1] [3] While on staff at UAB, Wulbrun was part of the Blazers' 2015 Conference USA tournament title and 2015 NCAA tournament squad, along with a UAB regular season and 2016 NIT team. in 2016, Wulbrun would follow Hasse as an assistant coach at Stanford. [4]

On March 29, 2021 Wulbrun was named the 33rd head coach in University of Denver history, replacing Rodney Billups. [5] [6]

Jerod Albert Haase is an American college basketball coach. He was the head coach for Stanford Cardinal men's team of the Pac-12 Conference from 2016–2024. Haase played college basketball at the University of California, Berkeley from 1992 to 1993, and then transferred to the University of Kansas to play under Roy Williams from 1994 to 1997. Haase was a Naismith and Wooden Award candidate while at Kansas. At Kansas, he only missed two games out of 101 and averaged 12.5 points per game, scoring 1,246 points over the span of his career. He was a member of the Big Eight all defensive team as a junior, and played at the World University Games in 1995. He then spent 13 years as an assistant under Williams at both Kansas and North Carolina before starting his own head coaching career.

The James Madison Dukes men's basketball team is the intercollegiate men's basketball program representing James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Rodney Dee Billups is an American professional basketball coach who is an assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was named head coach at the University of Denver on March 14, 2016, three days after Joe Scott was fired. Billups is the younger brother of former NBA star Chauncey Billups. Billups had been an assistant at Colorado since 2012. He played at the University of Denver from 2002 to 2005. After college, he played professionally with BK Riga of the Latvian Basketball League and Kouvot of the Finnish Korisliiga before turning his attention to coaching. The Colorado 14ers selected Billups in the ninth round of the 2006 NBA Development League Draft.
