Jeffrey Manning (died February 13,2004) was a county prosecutor and a member of the Ohio House of Representatives.
Manning was born in Elyria,Ohio. [1] He earned a bachelor's degree from Kent State University and a PhD from the University of Akron. [1]
He was appointed to be Lorain County,Ohio prosecutor to succeed Gregory White,who left to become United States Attorney for Northern Ohio. Manning died of complications of a heart condition in 2004. [2] His wife,Gayle Manning,is currently (2010) a candidate for the Ohio Senate in district 13. [3]

He was employed as an educator,serving as the Director of Student Activities at University of Pittsburgh,Penn State New Kensington and LCCC. John was an Outplacement and Retraining Counselor/Consultant. He was also a delegate for Democratic National Conventions in 1984,1988,and 2004. He died February 2,2018.
Gayle Manning is a member of the Ohio House of Representatives,serving since 2019. Formerly,she was a member of the Ohio Senate,serving the 13th district from 2011 to 2018. Manning also taught elementary school students in North Olmsted City Schools for 37 years,winning numerous awards and citations for her accomplishments in education. She was named Educator of the Year by the North Olmsted Council of PTA and received the Teacher in American Enterprise Award from the Ohio Council on Economic Education.
