The band Jemimah Puddleduck is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and led by guitarist and singer Mark Karan, who is also a member of Bob Weir's band RatDog. At the time their self-titled first album was recorded, Jemimah Puddleduck also featured John Molo (who had previously played with Bruce Hornsby, The Other Ones, and Phil Lesh and Friends) on drums, Bob Gross (Albert King, Delaney Bramlett) on bass, and Arlan Schierbaum (Richie Kotzen) on keyboards.

RatDog is an American rock band. The group began in 1995 as a side project for Grateful Dead guitarist and singer Bob Weir. After the Dead disbanded later that year, RatDog became Weir's primary band. They performed some Grateful Dead songs, a mixture of covers, and some originals. Holly Bowling pianist

Holly Bowling is a classically trained pianist best known for transcribing the music of Phish and the Grateful Dead into arrangements for solo piano. In 2014, Bowling published her "Jam Transcription" of Phish's famous rendition of "Tweezer" from Lake Tahoe on July 31, 2013. It was produced as a two-disc LP in a limited edition of 10,000 copies, and as a two-disc CD in a limited edition of 6,000 copies. It was released on April 13, 2019, in conjunction with Record Store Day.
