Jennifer Pace Phillips is a fictional character from the American soap opera Search for Tomorrow . The role was originated by actress Robin Eisenman in 1973, and was subsequently portrayed by Morgan Fairchild from 1973 to 1977.

[1] [2] Fairchild came to New York City in 1973 but could not secure a talent agent, as "Nobody thought I had the right look for New York in '73. Everybody kept saying, 'Oh, no, you're too elegant', 'You're too porcelain', 'You're too this, you're too that'." She signed with Ford Models. According to Fairchild, "I was told, 'Okay, this is a big break for us, we're trying to break into the soap opera market and you are our one person who can talk.'" The agency sent her to audition for Search for Tomorrow , but she did not get the part. The show soon called the agency back to say, "We had somebody we hired to play the bitch a few weeks ago and she's not working out, we want to hire Morgan for that." That role was Jennifer Pace. [3]
Jennifer is the beautiful but extremely neurotic daughter of businessman Walter Pace (Tom Klunis). Jennifer is involved with Bruce Carson (Joel Higgins), the ward of series matriarch Joanne Gardner (Mary Stuart). She later marries Scott Phillips (Peter Simon), but drives her alcoholic husband back to drinking. Jennifer is injured when she tries to step through a mirror, and is left unhinged.
Jennifer has an affair with John Wyatt (Val Dufour), the husband of Jo's sister, Eunice Gardner Wyatt (Ann Williams). Wanting John for herself and losing touch with reality, Jennifer confronts Eunice with a gun on November 19, 1976. She shoots Eunice in the back and kills her, hallucinating that John's voice told her to do it. [4] [5] John is put on trial for murder, but Jennifer is ultimately revealed as the killer. Walter places his mentally unstable daughter into a sanitarium in 1977.
Fairchild received audience recognition for her portrayal, and in 2017 called herself and All My Children 's Susan Lucci "the bitch goddesses of daytime" in the 1970s. [3] [6]

Set in New York's fashion industry, the show centered on top modeling agency owner Racine, her conflicts with the family of cosmetics tycoon Grant Harper, and the careers of two teenaged models. The series was based on a 1982 television film of the same name. The show suffered in the ratings, despite positive reviews, and was cancelled midway through the first season.

Steffy Forrester is a fictional character from the American CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Introduced by Bradley Bell, she is currently portrayed by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood. Steffy and her twin sister Phoebe were born onscreen as the daughters of supercouple Ridge Forrester and Taylor Hayes during the episode airing on September 21, 1999. Created by writer Peggy Phillips, Laura's storylines focus on family troubles. She is a member of the series' Horton family. Taylor Hayes is a fictional character from the American CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. The character was created by William J. Bell and originated by Hunter Tylo during the episode dated June 6, 1990. Tylo exited the series in 1994 but returned several months later. She exited again in 1996 after being cast on Melrose Place, but returned shortly after being fired from that show for being pregnant. After Tylo grew dissatisfied with her character's direction and agreed with executive producer Bradley Bell that Taylor was "played out", the character was subsequently killed off and last appeared in October 2002. Tylo reprised Taylor as a ghost in 2004 before returning as a regular in April 2005, with the character revealed to be alive. Tylo exited The Bold and the Beautiful again in July 2013, but returned for guest appearances in 2014. She returned again from April 2018 to March 2019 on a recurring basis. Lucy Coe is a fictional character from the ABC Daytime soap operas General Hospital and Port Charles. Portrayed by Lynn Herring, she first appeared in April 1986 on General Hospital, introduced as an alibi in a murder plot. In 1997, she made her second departure from the show and joined its now defunct spin-off Port Charles. There, she was involved in storylines revolving around vampires, where it was revealed that Lucy was a vampire slayer. The character stayed on Port Charles until October 2003, when the series was cancelled, and she made a brief guest appearance on General Hospital in July 2004. In November 2012, after more than eight years off-screen, it was confirmed that Herring was to return to General Hospital. She was introduced by executive producer Frank Valentini on September 19, 2012, as the manipulative love interest for Patrick Drake. Valerie Grant is a fictional character from Days of Our Lives, an American soap opera on the NBC network. The character was created by Pat Falken Smith and introduced as the black love interest for white character David Banning. The role was originated by Tina Andrews on October 27, 1975. Andrews was replaced by Rose Fonseca in the summer of 1977. Valerie and her family take David in when he is injured in a car accident and they soon fall in love. David and Valerie become engaged in the summer of 1976 but the romance is plagued by his infidelity, his ex-girlfriend Brooke Hamilton and her mother Helen's unwillingness to accept the relationship. When David's affair with Trish Clayton results in pregnancy, Valerie ends the relationship and takes a scholarship to medical school at Howard University in 1978. Actress Diane Sommerfield took over the role in 1981 when Valerie returns as a medical intern at the hospital. She becomes involved with Abe Carver which is plagued by Val's residual feelings for David and Abe's unwillingness to get married one day. The character is written out in 1982.
