Jeorge Bennett Watson (born October 4, 1965) is an American actor. He has appeared in television shows including Blue Bloods , Law & Order: Organized Crime , FBI: Most Wanted , For Life , Luke Cage , Shameless , Justified , The Wire and Homicide: Life on the Streets . He has also appeared in several indie and short films, including "Beyond Zero," From New York, I Love You, Losing Days, The Meadow and The Bull Cage, as well as the web series King Ester,(produced by Issa Rae), and Ms/Manage. He currently resides in New York City.

Early life

Watson was born in Bertie County (North Carolina), in the town of Windsor, to Kertrina Grandy Watson and George Benton Watson of Ossining NY. He graduated from Bertie County Senior High School and attended the Maryland Institute College of Art, in Baltimore to study illustration and painting. He left school early to pursue acting and the performing arts. Subsequently, Watson has trained at The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory, The Ivana Chubbuck Studio, ESPA Studios, William Esper Studios, TK Acting Studios, Atlantic Acting School, the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, UK, and with the Yale School Of Drama alumni based coaching and teaching collective Complete Ridiculousness.

Career

In 1989, Watson won the lead role in the first play he ever auditioned for, Baltimore community theatre, Arena Players' 1990 production of Charles Fuller's “Zooman and the Sign,” as Zooman.
Notable regional theaters he has worked at include Capital Repertory Theatre, [1]  Triad Stage, Pioneer Theatre Company, Orlando Shakespeare Theater, [2]  Merrimack Repertory Theatre, [3]  [4]  [5]  [6]  [7]  [8]  and Portland Stage Company. [9]  [10]  [11] 
In 2018, he made his Off-Broadway debut in director Karin Coonrod’s world premiere production of Lila Rose Kaplan’s adaptation of   Babette’s Feast , [12]  [13]  [14]  [15]  as General Loewenhielm/Player 4. He was seen in Manhattan Repertory Theater  [16] ’s production of David Harm's new play Powerhouse [17]  in the fall of 2022. Several of his theatre productions have been nominated for awards, notably, Jeorge has twice been nominated for Best Acting Ensemble awards, once in 2006 by The Helen Hayes Awards,(DC), for Theatre Alliance’s production of Lydia Diamond’s world premiere adaptation of Toni Morrison’s “The Bluest Eye,” and again in 2022, by The Audelco Awards,(NYC), for Houses On The Moon’s world premiere production of Ian Eaton’s “Superhero.” 
Starting in the Spring of 2023, Jeorge will be playing the role of Friar Lawrence in Mad Company's inaugural production of "Romeo & Juliet,” directed by Hannah Eidinow, at the Abron Arts Center, part of the Henry Street Settlement, in NYC.

James Miller McLure, Jr. was an American playwright. He was born in Alexandria, Louisiana and grew up in Shreveport where he was educated by the Jesuits. He became interested in acting in high school, performing in Shakespearean plays. He obtained a BFA degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and subsequently studied at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, California. While studying at SMU his roommate was actor and friend Stephen Tobolowsky, who frequently recalls stories involving McLure in his podcast.
