Zamrock is a musical genre that emerged and gained popularity in Zambia during the early 1970s. It has been described as a fusion of traditional African music and psychedelic rock, garage rock, hard rock, blues and funk, taking influence from popular bands like Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer, the Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, and Cream.

Zone Fam was a Zambian hip hop supergroup based in Lusaka, composed of Sam Sakala, Jackson Banda, Reginald Lube, and previously Timbwama Chisenga Kaputula until his departure from the group on April 1, 2015. It was a collective of solo artists that frequented "Zone Studios" started by Duncan Sodala also known as Holstar and Kati Kawanu in 2006. Zone Fam Officially became a Rap group in 2009 after recording "The Full Script" Mixtape with Nigerian producer Teck-zilla. They gained popularity after the release of their debut album single Shaka Zulu On Em which received nationwide airplay, topping radio charts and got worldwide reviews off YouTube. In 2011 they went on and released their first studio album, The Business: Foreign Exchange, which was the bestseller of that year. In 2012, Zone Fam signed their first international deal under record label Taurus Musik of Kenya, which helped them produce songs several songs and visuals namely, Translate, "Da Bidness" and Contolola, which won them a Channel O Award at the Channel O Music Video Awards for Best Group. They also have to their name the award for Best African Group at the Global African Music Awards. The group is currently disbanded and was managed by Duncan Sodala between 2009 and 2014 - He also manages the Zone Fam brand.
Jack Chanda Mwinuna was a Zambian footballer and coach. He played for three of Zambia’s biggest clubs Roan United, Nkana Red Devils and Kabwe Warriors in a successful career that saw him being crowned as Zambian Footballer of the Year in 1985.
Chanda Kangwa better known by her stage name as DJ Roxy is a Zambian radio disk jockey producer and media consultant. She is most well known for her career on Radio Phoenix. She is a 2 times winner of the Best Female Radio DJ award at the Mosi Zambian Music Award in 2015 and 2016. Kangwa has previously worked for Muvi TV as an assistant producer in 2009.
Anthony Mbinga Kafunya, known professionally as Daddy Zemus, was a Zambian musician and songwriter. Hailed as the King of Zam-ragga, he was one of the first artists to fuse local music with ragga, hip-hop and R&B, and is widely regarded as a pioneer in this form of Zambian music. After signing with the fledgling record label Mondo Music, Zemus released the chart topping album Chibaba in December 1999 to critical acclaim, and it turned out to be one of the most influential albums in Zambian music history, as it heralded the new wave of Zambian sound and inspired several other upcoming Zambian musicians.
Mwila Musonda, known professionally as Slapdee is a Zambian hip hop and rap musician. Having won multiple awards since his debut in 2006, he is often regarded one of the pioneers of Zambian hip-hop.
Grace Chanda is a Zambian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder and forward for Madrid CFF in Spain's top-division Liga F as well as the Zambia women's national team. She was one of three players shortlisted for African Women's Footballer of the Year in 2022.

Chanda Na Kay are a Zambian singing duo based on the Copperbelt. In July 2021, they won the Kwacha Music Award for the best Zambian duo. In December 2022, they won the best duo award at the 8th African Entertainment Annual Awards, becoming the first Zambians to do so. They have also won the Zambezi Music Awards. The Duo consists of “Apa ni Chanda”, born Edward Chanda, and “Apa ni Kay”, born Kelvin Simfukwe. They are signed under Nexus music.
Dalisoul, also known as Mwana Wamukomboni, is a Zambian singer and music producer. He won the Zambian musician of the year in 2008, 2009 and 2013 at the Kwacha Music Awards.
Kombalume ‘Komba’ Malukutila is a Zambian business executive who currently leads MTN Zambia as the Fintech Managing Director, appointed in 2020. In 2022, he won the Zambian CEO of the year award at the Finance and Banking Awards. In the same year, he won the Zambia Sales Personality of the year award at the Zambia Institute of Marketing and Tech Star award in the same year.
Elvis Chishala Nkandu is a Zambian politician who currently serves as Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts. In 2022, he was elected as member of parliament for Kaputa.
Sunday Chilufya Chanda is a Zambian politician who serves as Member of Parliament for Kanchibiya Constituency in Northern Zambia. He was elected to the position in August 2021.
