Erasmus Jerel Myers (born July 18, 1981) is a former professional American, Canadian and Arena football wide receiver. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buffalo Bills in 2003. He played college football for the LSU Tigers.
Myers has also been a member of the Washington Redskins, New Orleans VooDoo, Kansas City Brigade and BC Lions.
He is now a physical education teacher at Stafford Municipal School District in Stafford, Texas.

Dean Valli is a Canadian former professional football offensive lineman who played for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Valli attended Simon Fraser University and played for their football team, the Simon Fraser Clan. He played four full seasons with the Clan from 2002 to 2005. Dean graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 2006. In 2005, Valli was named to the Canada West Universities Athletic Association all-star team. He also represented SFU at the 2005 East West Bowl held in Waterloo, Ontario. Valli was selected in the 1st round, 6th overall, by the Lions in the 2006 CFL draft. 2006 was his first year playing professional football.

He signed as a free agent with the Detroit Lions before joining the Ottawa Renegades practice roster. He then joined the Eskimos where he was part of their 93rd Grey Cup championship team in 2005. After his release from Edmonton in January 2012, he signed with the BC Lions on June 4, 2012. He also played defensive tackle for the University of Nebraska.

Jesse Newman is a former Canadian football guard for the Calgary Stampeders and BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted in the first round with the 3rd overall pick in the 2008 CFL Draft by the Calgary Stampeders. He played college football for UL Lafayette. He retired from professional football on June 4, 2010, for personal reasons. Following Calgary's bye week later that season, Newman announced that he was coming out of retirement, much to the chagrin of some of the team's players. Consequently, Newman was traded to the BC Lions on September 4 for a second-round pick in the 2011 CFL Draft as well as a conditional fourth-round pick in the 2012 CFL Draft.
Lonnie Dennis was a Canadian football player with the Canadian Football League (CFL)'s the British Columbia Lions. After playing college football at Brigham Young University, Dennis spent his entire 9-year CFL career as an offensive lineman for the Lions. He was named CFL All-Star in 1963 and 1964, and was a part of the Lions Grey Cup victory in 1964. Dennis died on January 6, 1997 at the age of 59

He was drafted 34th overall by the BC Lions in the 2010 CFL Draft and signed a contract with the team on May 25, 2010. He played CIS football for the St. Francis Xavier X-Men.

The Lions suffered the passing of long-time owner William Clay Ford Sr., who died on March 9, 2014, at the age of 88, and wore patches with his initials on their jerseys in his honor. After the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Washington Redskins in Week 16, the Lions clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2011. They lost to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Game 24–20, ending their season. It was their eighth straight playoff loss, tying the Kansas City Chiefs for the longest postseason losing streak in NFL history.

The 2016 Detroit Lions season was the franchise's 87th season in the National Football League (NFL), their 83rd as the Detroit Lions, and their third under head coach Jim Caldwell. This was the first time since 2006 when Calvin Johnson was not on the opening day roster. On January 8, 2016, the Lions hired Bob Quinn as general manager. This was also the first season in over 40 years in which the Lions had an official cheerleading squad. The Lions improved upon their 7–9 record from 2015, and clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2014—the Lions finished tied with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the last NFC playoff spot, but won the tiebreaker based on their record against common opponents. However, the Lions were defeated by the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card Round and extended their playoff losing streak to nine games, making it the longest losing streak in the playoffs ever. The Lions would not return to the playoffs again until 2023, where they would snap that postseason losing streak.
The 1950 Boston College Eagles football team represented Boston College as an independent during the 1950 college football season. The Eagles were led by seventh-year head coach Denny Myers and played their home games at Braves Field in Boston, Massachusetts. Boston College finished winless for the first time since 1902 with a record of 0–9–1. The tie came against Wake Forest. Myers announced his resignation as head coach prior to the season finale against rival Holy Cross. He compiled a record of 35–27–4 while at Boston College.
