Jeremiah Metcalf (born July 9, 1981) is an American former mixed martial artist who competed in the Welterweight division. He has competed for Strikeforce, King of the Cage, ShoXC, and PFC. [1]
Metcalf made his professional MMA debut on May 21, 2006 with a win over Felix Garcia at GC 50: Top Gunz. He compiled a record of 2-1 before being signed by Strikeforce in mid-2006.
Metcalf would make his Strikeforce debut on October 7, 2006, when he faced Luke Stewart at Strikeforce: Tank vs. Buentello. He lost the fight via first round rear-naked choke. [2] After a short stint outside of the promotion, Metcalf returned and faced Dennis Hallman on November 16, 2007 at Strikeforce: Four Men Enter, One Man Survives. He lost the fight via heel hook, bringing his record to 0-2 in the promotion. [3]
In his last fight with Strikeforce, Metcalf faced Raymond Daniels at Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Thomson on June 27, 2008. [4] He won the fight via rear-naked choke.
After his last fight for the organization in 2008, Metcalf has compiled a record of 4-3 competing in organizations such as the Palace Fighting Championship and King of the Cage.
