Jeremy Dawson (born in Texas, but raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma, USA) is best known as the keyboardist of the American new wave/indie rock band Shiny Toy Guns. [1]

Slyder

The Shiny Toy Guns song "You Are the One" has its roots in Slyder's trance song "Neo", put out under Chad and Jeremy's moniker. "Neo" and "Score" was used in the video game Grand Theft Auto III.

Jeremy created Shiny Toy Guns with bandmate Chad Petree in 2002. He is the keyboardist and bassist.

Hybridigital (2009-2010)

Hybridigital is Jeremy and Chad's side project, and subsection of Shiny Toy Guns, where they put on live shows of remixes of their Shiny Toy Guns songs. They feature live guitars, keyboards, and (male) vocals.

MXMS (Me and My Shadow) (2013-present)

MXMS is a multimedia art and music project. The name MXMS stands for "Me and My Shadow". Dawson formed this project with vocalist Ariel Levitan, calling their music "funeral pop." [2]

Dawson has been seen using an M-Audio 88key Midi Controller with a V-Synth Module; Fender Jazz Bass with Ampeg SVT Head, and an Alesis Micron that is also played by the lead singer, Chad. [ citation needed ] Jeremy tends to cover the brand name on most of his gear with black tape.

We Are Pilots is the debut studio album by American electronic rock band Shiny Toy Guns. After previously being independently released throughout 2005, it was officially released on October 17, 2006, through Universal Motown in the United States and Mercury Records in the United Kingdom, with liner notes of the album referring to it as "version 3.0". Production, recording, and writing dates back as far as the early 2000s, with several songs being written during founding members Gregori Chad Petree and Jeremy Dawson's previous project, Dangerous Insects. Musically, We Are Pilots primarily uses influences of both rock music and electronic music whilst also incorporating elements of alternative rock, indie rock, pop, electropop, post-punk revival and disco, with the band receiving comparisons to The Killers and Franz Ferdinand.

Dawson and Petree grew up in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and met when they were teenagers. They played together in various bands, before separating to pursue other projects. Dawson began Cloud2Ground as a solo project and released his first demo under the name in 1996. In 1997 he signed to N*Soul Records and released the album E-Majn the same year. In 1998 he was rejoined by Petree, and in 1999 they moved to Los Angeles. In 2000, they released a second album, The Gate (Beautiful).

"Morning Star", another song off the Punk Debutante album, made top ten on Billboards dance chart. In 2008, she became one of three vocalists for the rock group Shiny Toy Guns. In 2011, she released her solo single, "That You Like." On November 28, a preview video of a new single titled "Million Hands" was released on her official YouTube page. She was born in Long Beach, California and currently lives in Los Angeles.
