Jerry Willey (born September 25,1947) is an American politician who is currently a Washington County Commissioner and was the 41st mayor of Hillsboro,Oregon,a position he held from 2009 to 2017.
Willey was born in Walla Walla,Washington. [3]
Willey served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and moved to Hillsboro in 1983,serving on the Hillsboro City Council from 1992 until 1997. [4] [5] Willey graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in business and accounting. [4] He is married to former Oregon International Air Show president Judy Willey and has two children,Rob and Kasi. [6] [7] [8] Willey,elected in 2008,took office on January 6,2009,succeeding Tom Hughes. His term expired on January 3,2017, [9] and Steve Callaway became the new mayor. [10]
In May 2017 the city of Hillsboro announced that they were renaming the Orenco Station Plaza for Willey. The Plaza was dedicated on June 11,2017,and is now called the "Jerry Willey Plaza at Orenco Station". [11]
Willey successfully ran for a seat on the Washington County Board of Commissioners in 2018. [3] [12]

Situated between Orenco station and Willow Creek/Southwest 185th Avenue Transit Center,it is the seventh eastbound station on the Blue Line and the fourth eastbound station on the Red Line. The two-track,island platform station includes a park-and-ride lot. Quatama Station is named after the area which includes Quatama Road to the south of the station. Opened in 1998,the stop is near high-tech industries and the Amberglen business park,which includes Oregon Health &Science University's West Campus and the Oregon National Primate Research Center. With the renaming of Northwest 205th Avenue to Northeast John Olsen Avenue by the city of Hillsboro in 2017,TriMet changed the station's name from its original,longer name.

It is the seventh station eastbound on the Blue Line and the third station eastbound on the Red Line,situated between the Quatama and Hawthorn Farm stations. The two-track,island platform station serves the Orenco Station neighborhood,which is considered a model for smart growth and transit-oriented development. It features a 125-space park and ride,a bike and ride,and connections to TriMet bus route 47–Baseline/Evergreen and Ride Connection's North Hillsboro Link.

The Hillsboro Argus was a twice-weekly newspaper in the city of Hillsboro,Oregon,from 1894 to 2017,known as the Washington County Argus for its final year. The Argus was distributed in Washington County,Oregon,United States. First published in 1894,but later merged with the older,1873-introduced Forest Grove Independent,the paper was owned by the McKinney family for more than 90 years prior to being sold to Advance Publications in 1999. The Argus was published weekly until 1953,then twice-weekly from 1953 until 2015. In early 2017,it was reported that the paper was planning to cease publication in March 2017. The final edition was that of March 29,2017.
The Hillsboro Pioneer Cemetery is a pioneer cemetery in Hillsboro,Oregon,United States. It is located at the west end of the city along the Tualatin Valley Highway and adjacent to Dairy Creek. The 8.42-acre (3.41 ha) cemetery comprises three formerly private cemeteries. In 1973,the city of Hillsboro gained title to what is the oldest cemetery in Washington County.

The Hillsboro Civic Center is a government-built,mixed-use development in downtown Hillsboro,Oregon,United States. The development includes the city hall for the county seat of Washington County,located west of Portland,Oregon. Covering 6 acres (24,000 m2),the Civic Center has a total of over 165,000 square feet (15,300 m2) in the complex. The total of six stories for the main structure makes the building the tallest in the city,tied with Tuality Community Hospital. In addition to government offices,the Civic Center includes retail space,public plazas,and residential housing. The complex was built to centralize city government functions under one roof.
Cornelius Pass Road is an arterial road in the Portland metropolitan area of Oregon,United States. The north-south road serves as an arterial connection between Burlington and Hillsboro. It intersects with several main roads throughout its route.
The Oregon Nursery Company was a nursery company founded and originally operated in Salem,Oregon,United States. The company later expanded to a site in Washington County,Oregon west of Portland. The entire operation was eventually moved to Washington County,where the company founded the town of Orenco. The company went bankrupt in 1927. Its legacy is the Orenco place name that is still widely used in the Hillsboro area.
Tom Hughes is an American politician and former educator. He was the president of Metro,a regional government in the Portland metropolitan area,from 2011-2019,and was the mayor of his home town of Hillsboro from 2001-2009. He also on the city's planning commission and city council. During his time a mayor,the city built the Hillsboro Civic Center as the new city hall,with the exterior plaza then named in his honor after he left office.
Gordon C. Faber was an American politician and businessman in the U.S. state of Oregon. A native of Pennsylvania,he grew up in Hillsboro,Oregon. He joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was a small business owner before becoming a real estate agent and entering politics. He served on Hillsboro's budget committee and city council before serving two terms as mayor from 1993 to 2001. The Gordon Faber Recreation Complex in the city's northeast corner is named in his honor.
Kaiser Westside Medical Center is a hospital in the Tanasbourne neighborhood in Hillsboro in the U.S. state of Oregon. Opened in August 2013 with 126 hospital beds,the Kaiser Permanente facility is planned to later expand to 174 beds. It was designed by Ellerbe Becket Architects and Petersen Kolberg &Associates Architects/Planners. The $220 million hospital includes Kaiser's Sunset Medical Office that opened in 1987 on the west side of the Portland metropolitan area.
Orenco Woods Nature Park is a park located in Hillsboro,Oregon,United States. The site was formerly nine-hole Orenco Woods Golf Course in the Orenco neighborhood owned by the Hillsboro Elks. The eastern edge is bounded by Cornelius Pass Road and the tracks for the MAX Blue Line form the northern boundary. Rock Creek flows through the 42-acre (17 ha) site between Orchard Park upstream and Noble Woods Park downstream,with the Rock Creek Trail planned to connect all three parks.

Washington County Fire District 2 (WCFD2) was a special-purpose government fire fighting and emergency services district in Washington County on the west side of the Portland metropolitan area of Oregon. The Forest Grove branch is an abandoned railway line in the state of Oregon,in the United States. It was built by the Oregon Electric Railway and ran 19.1 miles (30.7 km) from Garden Home to Forest Grove via Beaverton and Hillsboro. The MAX Blue Line uses part of the right-of-way between Beaverton and Hillsboro.
