Jesper Bie was a former Danish badminton player. He was the Danish youth champion in 1938, the year that he finished runner up behind Ralph Nichols in the 1938 All England Badminton Championships. [1] This opened up the floodgates of Danish stars that would then grace the Championships and dominate badminton for the next two decades. [2]

Flemming Delfs is a former Danish badminton player who won Danish national and international championships from the early 1970s to the early 1980s.

Lene Køppen is a former badminton player from Denmark who won numerous Danish national and major international championships from the early 1970s through the early 1980s. Noted for her speed and athleticism, she and Camilla Martin are the only Danish women to win both the World (1977) and All-England singles titles. In the first IBF World Championships in 1977 she captured mixed doubles as well as women's singles to become the first of only seven players, through 2010, to win two events in the same edition of this tournament. Notably, her badminton success came as she was studying and then practising dentistry. She was elected to the World Badminton Hall of Fame in 1998. She is the mother of badminton player Marie Røpke.

Erland Kops Badminton player

Erland Kops was a badminton player from Denmark who won numerous major international singles and doubles titles from the late 1950s to the early 1970s. In 1958, Erland Kops brought an end to eight years of dominance of by Malayan players at the All England Badminton Championships by winning its Men's Singles event. Kops was also among the first Westerners to win major singles titles in the Far East. He combined abundant speed, power, and stamina with impressive shot-making virtuosity. Despite some disappointing results in the late rounds of Thomas Cup competition, Kops was clearly the dominant tournament men's singles player and one of the dominant men's doubles players of his era.

Svend Pri was a Danish badminton player who won numerous major titles from the mid-1960s through the mid-1970s. His play was marked by great power, tenacity, and tactical astuteness. An excellent three event player, the high points of his career were probably two dramatic singles victories over the iconic Rudy Hartono, one in the Challenge Round of Thomas Cup in 1973, the other in the final of the All-Englands in 1975.

Finn Kobberø was a badminton player from Denmark, who won numerous international titles in all of badminton's three events from the mid-1950s to the mid-1960s.

Verawaty Fadjrin, is a former badminton player who won international titles spanning from the late 1970s to the end of the 1980s. Tall and powerful, at one time or another she played each of the three variations of the sport at the highest world level.

Børge Frederiksen is a former Danish badminton player. He won the All England Championship in men's doubles in 1948 with Preben Dabelsteen. In 1950 he reached the final with Poul Holm. He also won two Danish Championship titles in doubles - in 1943 with Jesper Bie and in 1949 with Tage Madsen and played on the national team until the beginning of the 1950s.

Pernille Mølgaard Hansen later Kaagaard is a former Danish badminton player. In 1964 she won both the National Championship and National Under-18 Championship and followed this up with five more National titles and 34 caps for Denmark from 1965-1977. She is best known for her All England title triumph in 1970 with her mixed doubles partner Per Walsøe.

Ruth Dalsgaard née Frederiksen was a former Danish badminton player. She won a national championship title every year from 1931 to 1935, teaming up with her sister Gerda. Further wins came in 1937 and 1942, the latter with her new partner Jytte Thayssen. In addition to this she won seven national titles in mixed doubles from 1933 to 1942. Her greatest achievement was winning the 1939 All England Badminton Championships doubles title with Tonny Ahm.

Tom Bacher is a former Danish badminton player. He was a Danish international from the mid 1960s until the mid 1970s. His greatest achievement was winning the 1970 All England Badminton Championships doubles title with Poul Petersen.

Poul Petersen is a former Danish badminton player. He was a Danish National Championship three times in the doubles with Per Walsøe and Svend Pri. In addition he won the Nordic Championship in 1972 and was capped by Denmark in the early 1970s. His greatest achievement was winning the 1970 All England Badminton Championships doubles title with Tom Bacher.

Tonny Holst-Christensen is a former Danish badminton player. In 1962 the Badminton Association of Denmark decided not to enter Tonny in the All England Championships and she had to pay for the trip to England out of her own pocket. She then teamed up with Judy Devlin and remarkably won the title. She also won the Danish National Championship in 1956 and 1960 and was a member of the 1960 Uber Cup team.
