Allsvenskan is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. Seasons run from late March or early April to the beginning of November, with the 16 clubs all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 30-match season, for a total of 240 matches league-wide.
Halmstads Bollklubb, also known simply as Halmstad ) or HBK or Bollklubben, is a Swedish professional football club located in Halmstad in the county of Halland. The club, formed 7 February 1914 and approved membership in the Swedish Sports Confederation on 6 March the same year. The club competes in the highest tier of Swedish football, Allsvenskan, and has won four national championship titles and one national cup title. HBK is a member-controlled club.
Kalmar Fotbollförening, more commonly known as Kalmar FF, is a Swedish professional football club based in Kalmar. The club is affiliated to Smålands Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Guldfågeln Arena. Formed on 15 June 1910, the club have won one national championship title (2008) and three national cup titles.

Jan Tore Magnus "Turbo" Svensson is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Beginning his career with Vinbergs IF in 1988, he went on to represent Halmstads BK, Viking, and Brøndby IF before retiring at Halmstad in 2006. A full international between 1996 and 2003, he won 32 caps and scored two goals for the Sweden national team. He represented Sweden at UEFA Euro 2000 and the 2002 FIFA World Cup.
Ulf Erik Wahlstedt is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a defender and midfielder. He is best remembered for his time with Helsingborgs IF with which he won two Allsvenskan titles and four Svenska Cupen titles, but also represented BK Astrio, IFK Göteborg, and Esbjerg fB during a career that spanned between 1993 and 2012. He won two caps for the Sweden national team between 1998 and 2004 and represented his country at UEFA Euro 2004.
Christoffer Tobias Andersson is a Swedish former professional football player who played as a defender and midfielder. He is best remembered for his time with Helsingborgs IF for which he played more than 500 official games, but also represented Lillestrøm SK, Hannover 96, and Halmstads BK during a career that spanned between 1998 and 2016. A full international between 2000 and 2006, he won 24 caps for the Sweden national team.

The 2011 season was Malmö FF's 100th in existence, their 76th season in Allsvenskan and their 11th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan, where they finished in 4th position, Svenska Cupen, where they were knocked out in the quarter-finals, Svenska Supercupen, where they finished as runners-up, the UEFA Champions League, where they were knocked out in the play-off round and finally the UEFA Europa League, where they were knocked out in the group stage. Malmö FF were the reigning champions of Allsvenskan and also returned to European cup play after a five-year absence. Manager Roland Nilsson left the club on 29 May to become the new manager for F.C. Copenhagen, he was replaced by Rikard Norling who officially became the new Malmö FF manager on 3 June.
The 2015 season was IFK Norrköping's 118th in existence, their 75th season in Allsvenskan and 5th consecutive season in the league. The club competed in 2015 Allsvenskan, 2014–15 Svenska Cupen and 2015–16 Svenska Cupen. The season began with 2014–15 Svenska Cupen group stage on 22 February, with 2015 Allsvenskan starting on 4 April. The league ended with the last match on 31 October 2015, in which they became league champions, and the last match of the season was 2015 Svenska Supercupen on 8 November where IFK Norrköping, as champions, met 2014–15 Svenska Cupen winners, IFK Göteborg.
