Jess Fink is an American comic book creator known for her webcomic turned graphic novel Chester 5000 XYV and graphic novel We Can Fix It, both published by Top Shelf Comics. [1] Her work has appeared in North American Review among other publications. [2] [3] [4] Fink's erotic comic book work has been featured at the Museum of Sex in New York City [5] [6] and on the Oh Joy Sex Toy web comic and book. [7] [8] Her work is known for being autobiographical in nature or featuring erotic scenes. [9] For example, she described her work, We Can Fix It as "an autobiographical memoir... with a time machine" [10] and has described her work Chester 5000 XYV as "an erotic, robotic, Victorian romance." [11] Chester 5000 XYV is part of the Library of Congress's Webcomics Web Archive. [12] [13]

Biography

In high school, Jess Fink began reading comics and then manga. [10] She cites Molly Kiely and Art Spiegelman as influences. [1]

In 2003, Fink received her degree in Illustrating & Cartooning from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. [14] During her studies, she was taught by Tom Hart, who assisted her with editing We Can Fix It. [1]

She currently lives in Troy, NY and sells jewelry through an online store named Hey Chickadee! [11] She has used Kickstarter to fund projects and has a Patreon. [14]

<i>Johnny Wander</i> Webcomic

Johnny Wander is a former webcomic written by Ananth Hirsh and illustrated by Yuko Ota. It was published bi-weekly. In its earlier days, the comic generally focused on slice of life stories involving Ananth, Yuko, and their friends and family following graduation from college. However, the comic occasionally encompasses unrelated fantasy storylines. The comic is currently focusing on one of its ongoing fictional storylines, "Barbarous." The name "Johnny Wander" is meant to evoke the creators' desire to use the comic to "wander" through whatever topics interest them at the moment.

Julia Kaye is an American artist, illustrator, and voice actress. Kaye currently works as a storyboard artist and revisionist at Disney Television Animation, and is the creator of the webcomic Up and Out. She has also done work for Maxim, Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed, GoComics, College Humor, along with other graphic design work. She provided the voice of Snapdragon in the animated series High Guardian Spice.

Mr. Boop was a satirical webcomic created by Alec Robbins about a man married to Betty Boop. The comic launched on February 28, 2020. The comic comprises four 'books' made up of 217 strips.
