Jessica P. Einhorn served as Dean of Washington's Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of the Johns Hopkins University from 2001 until 2012. Einhorn succeeded Paul Wolfowitz,who resigned in 2001 to become the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense. Einhorn is also a member of the Board of Directors of Time Warner,Inc., [1] a member of the Board of Directors of BlackRock,Inc.,a former director of the Council on Foreign Relations,and a former managing director at the World Bank. Einhorn holds a Ph.D. in politics from Princeton University,an M.A. in international relations from SAIS,and a B.A. from Barnard College. [3] She is the first alumna of SAIS to become its dean.

Riordan Roett is an American political scientist specializing in Latin America. He received his B.A. and Ph.D. from Columbia University in political science and was a post-doctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was assistant professor (1967–1973) and acting director of the Center for Latin American Studies at Vanderbilt University and was the Sarita and Don Johnston Professor of Political Science and Director of the Western Hemisphere Program at the Johns Hopkins University's Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington,D.C. until 2018. He is now Professor and Director Emeritus of Latin American Studies Program at Johns Hopkins SAIS.
Membership in the Council on Foreign Relations comes in two types:Individual and Corporate. John Phillip Lipsky is an American economist. He was the acting managing director of the International Monetary Fund from May to July 2011. He assumed the post of acting managing director after Dominique Strauss-Kahn was arrested in May 2011 accused of sexual assault. After the appointment of Christine Lagarde he returned to his post as the first deputy managing director of the IMF. He retired from the IMF in November 2011 and is currently a distinguished visiting scholar at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).

The Foreign Affairs Policy Board is an advisory board that provides independent advice and opinion to the Secretary of State,the Deputy Secretary of State,and the Director of Policy Planning on matters concerning U.S. foreign policy. The Board reviews and assesses global threats and opportunities,trends that implicate core national security interests,tools and capacities of the civilian foreign affairs agencies,and priorities and strategic frameworks for U.S. foreign policy. The Board meets in a plenary session several times a year at the U.S. Department of State in the Harry S. Truman Building.
