Career

Pilot is best known as the talent booker for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert where she produces the stand up comedy segments of the show. [8]

Pilot's writing revolves around the world of stand up comedy. [9] Pilot has written articles that have been published in Vanity Fair , Esquire , New York magazine, The Village Voice , and other outlets. [10] [11] [12] [13]

In 2018, Pilot started a podcast called "Are We Still Talking About This?" [14]

Pilot created a documentary series for The Village Voice titled "This is Stand Up" where she interviewed several comedians on the art form. [15] [16] In 2019 she created the mental health series "Hi Anxiety" for Teen Vogue. [17]

The Comedy Cellar is a comedy club in Manhattan where many top New York comedians perform. It is widely considered to be the best comedy club in the United States. It was founded in 1982 by then stand-up comedian, and current television writer/producer Bill Grundfest. It is located in Greenwich Village on 117 Macdougal Street between West 3rd Street and Minetta Lane. Above the club is a restaurant called The Olive Tree Cafe to which it is connected, where many of the comedians hang out after performing. The club is owned by Noam Dworman, who inherited it from his late father Manny in 2003. It has been booked by Estee Adoram, who has developed the club's talent for nearly four decades. The businesses share the same menu, kitchen, and staff as the Olive Tree Cafe.
