The Jessie Jack Hooper House is located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Home of women's suffrage leader Jessie Jack Hooper. The house and matching coach house are Shingle style, designed by Waters and built in 1888. Her husband Benjamin was a lawyer for the sawmill. Jessie also organized women's war work during World War I, presided over the Wisconsin League of Women Voters in the 20s, and was involved in anti-war campaigns in the 30s. [2]
The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and on the State Register of Historic Places in 1989. [3] It is located in the Algoma Boulevard Historic District.

William Waters (1843–1917) was an American architect who designed numerous buildings in Wisconsin that eventually were listed on the National Register of Historic Places. He was responsible for designing much of historic Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He was also responsible for designing the Wisconsin building for the Columbian Exposition. Waters died in 1917 and is buried at Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh. After his death, Oshkosh honored him by naming the intersection of Washington Avenue and State Street as the "William Waters Plaza".
Van Ryn & DeGelleke was an architectural firm in Wisconsin. It was a partnership of Henry J. Van Ryn and Gerrit Jacob DeGelleke, both of whom grew up in Milwaukee.
Jessie Annette Jack Hooper was an American peace activist and suffragist, who was the first president of the Wisconsin League of Women Voters. She became involved in women's suffrage as an empowerment for women's civic clubs. In 1922 she ran against incumbent Robert M. La Follette for election to the United States Senate, a campaign which inspired her to organize women's groups to call for world disarmament.
