He was born and raised in Woodland Hills, California and attended Taft High School. After winning the 2011 Outdoor Championships, Anderson had the competed for team USA at the world championships. She is the 2016 Rio Olympics champion and 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medalist, becoming at the latter the second-fastest woman of all time in the event with her personal best of 51.58 seconds. Muhammad was second at both the 2013 and 2017 World Championships to take her first gold in 2019, setting the former world record of 52.16 s. She is only the second female 400 m hurdler in history, after Sally Gunnell, to have won the Olympic, World titles and broken the world record. Omar McLeod is a Jamaican professional hurdler and sprinter. He is a former 110 m hurdles Olympic and World champion. He was NCAA indoor champion in the 60 m hurdles in 2014 and 2015 and outdoor champion in the 110 m hurdles in 2015; he turned professional after the 2015 collegiate season, forgoing his two remaining years of collegiate eligibility. His personal best in the 110 m hurdles ranks him 5th on the world all-time list.

William Foster Hardin is an American retired track and field athlete. He represented the United States at the 1964 Olympics in the 400 meters hurdles. He is the son of 1936 Olympic champion Glenn Hardin. Like his father, he ran for the LSU Tigers and won the NCAA championship in the 400 hurdles 30 years after his father repeated in the 440 yard dash. He was also the USA champion at 400 meters hurdles that year, duplicating a championship his father won three times. He finished second to Rex Cawley at the 1964 Olympic Trials as Cawley set the world record.
