Jim Deere (born June 2, 1967) is an American college football coach and former player. He is the defensive coordinator for Madison High School, a position he has held since 2024. [1] He was the head football coach at Adrian College from 2010 to 2023. He played college football at Adrian as a defensive back.
In 2014, Deere led the Adrian to their second outright Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) title in three seasons, previously winning the outright MIAA title in 2012. The 2012 MIAA title was the first outright MIAA title since 1983 and featured a perfect 6–0 record in MIAA play. Adrian returned to the NCAA Division III playoffs in 2014, marking the second appearance under Deere and the fourth in program history, losing to eventual national champion runner-up, Mount Union. Under Deere, in 2012, Adrian hosted an NCAA Division III playoff game for the first time in school history, losing to the Franklin Grizzlies.
On October 17, 2023, Deere resigned following a 1–6 start, leaving his overall record as 76–60. [2] He is currently the defensive coordinator for Adrian Madison High School. [3]

Adrian College is a private United Methodist liberal arts college in Adrian, Michigan. The college offers bachelor's degrees in 92 academic majors and programs. The 100 acre (0.40 km2) campus contains newly constructed facilities along with historic buildings. Adrian College is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. The spring 2020–21 enrollment was 1,677 students.
Michael Chester "Mickey" Matthews is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at James Madison University (JMU) from 1999 to 2013, compiling a record of 109–71. Matthews coached the 2004 James Madison Dukes football team to an NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship.

The 2016 Olivet Comets football team, sometimes known as Team 116 in reference to the 116th season the Olivet football program had fielded a team, was an American football team that represented Olivet College during the 2016 NCAA Division III football season. The Comets play in the MIAA and played their home games at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet, Michigan. Olivet was led by Dan Pifer, who was in his fifth and final season with the Comets, as he would be hired by the Walsh University football team of the G-MAC to become their new head coach in December 2016. In January 2017, offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator Dan Musielewicz was hired as the new head coach for the Comets.
