Jim Heffernan is a former NCAA wrestling champion and former wrestling coach at the University of Illinois.
Heffernan was a two-time OHSAA state champion and three-time state placer at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. [1] [2]
At the University of Iowa he was a national champion, a two-time national runner-up, and a four-time All-American. [3] [4] He won the NCAA national championship during his junior year. [5]
Heffernan spent 19 years as an assistant at the University of Illinois, 2 years at Oregon State University, and 2 years at Lehigh University. [6] In 1995, 2001, and 2003 he was named national assistant coach of the year. [7] In 2009, Heffernan became the head wrestling coach at the University of Illinois.
Cael Norman Sanderson is an American former folkstyle and freestyle wrestler who is the current head coach of Penn State's wrestling team. As a wrestler, he won an Olympic gold medal and was undefeated in four years of college wrestling at Iowa State (159–0), becoming a four-time NCAA Division I champion (1999–2002).

James (Jim) Zalesky is an American college wrestling coach and is currently the head coach of the University of Jamestown. He was the former head wrestling coach for the Oregon State Beavers. Prior to joining the Beavers, he was the coach of the University of Iowa wrestling team from 1998 to 2006. At Iowa, he succeeded Dan Gable as head coach, under whom he was a three-time NCAA champion. As head coach for Iowa, he guided the Hawkeyes to three NCAA team championships in 1998, 1999, and 2000. In 2004, he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member.

Pittsburgh Panthers wrestling is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate wrestling program of the University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as "Pitt", located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Harold Nichols was an American collegiate wrestler and wrestling coach. As a coach, primarily at Iowa State, he won six NCAA Championships over 37 seasons. Nichols' wrestlers won 38 NCAA individual championships and seven medals at the Olympics.

Rob Koll is an American college wrestling coach. He is currently head wrestling coach at University of North Carolina. He is the son of Wrestling Hall of Fame member and three-time NCAA wrestling champion Bill Koll.

Richard William Barker Sr. was an American football player and coach, wrestler and wrestling coach, and athletic director. He played professional football for the Chicago Staleys. Hugo Otopalik was an American football player, wrestler, coach, and athletic director primarily at Iowa State University. He was the architect of the first NCAA Championships in both the sport of wrestling and golf.
David Zabriskie is a retired American amateur wrestler and current wrestling coach for Elevation Fight Team in Denver. Zabriskie wrestled for the Iowa State Cyclones and is a three-time Big 12 Conference champion, three-time All-American in NCAA Division I collegiate wrestling, and won the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships in the 285lb weight class in 2010.
