Partick Thistle Football Club are a professional football club from Glasgow, Scotland. Despite their name, the club are based at Firhill Stadium in the Maryhill area of the city, and have not played in Partick since 1908. The club have been members of the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) since its formation in 2013, having previously been members of the Scottish Football League. In the 2020–21 season, Thistle won Scottish League One, the third tier of the SPFL structure, and returned to the Scottish Championship, having been relegated from there in 2019–20.
Alan Roderick Rough is a Scottish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He won 53 caps for Scotland and played in two FIFA World Cups. He also had a long club career, principally with Partick Thistle and Hibernian.
James Callaghan "Chic" Charnley is a Scottish former football player and coach. Stephen James Craigan is a Northern Irish former professional footballer. He played in central defence, and spent his entire playing career in Scotland, playing for Motherwell (twice) and Partick Thistle. He has also played for the Northern Irish national team. He is currently a studio pundit for BT Sport's coverage of the SPFL and the Scottish League Cup.
Patrick Joseph Gerard Boyle is a Scottish footballer who plays as a left-back. He is player/assistant manager at Gartcairn in the West of Scotland football league after rejecting a new contract at Dumbarton.
Alan Archibald is a Scottish football coach and former player, who is currently a first-team coach at Kilmarnock. Archibald, who played as a defender, has been associated with Partick Thistle for most of his career. Beginning his professional career with the club as a teenager, he went on to make 423 appearances for Thistle in two spells, placing him tenth on the club's all-time list of most appearances. His only other professional club was Dundee United, where he played between 2003 and 2007 before rejoining Thistle. Archibald also played five times for the Scotland national under-21 team.
Kris Mark Doolan is a Scottish professional football coach and former player, who currently manages Scottish Championship club Partick Thistle.

Scott Fox is a Scottish professional goalkeeper who is a free agent. He has previously played for Celtic, East Fife, Queen of the South (twice), Dundee, Ross County, Partick Thistle, Greenock Morton, Motherwell and Cove Rangers. Fox was selected by Scotland National Football Team manager Gordon Strachan to be part of the national squad to face Norway in 2013.
Peter Stewart McKennan was a Scottish professional footballer who played as an inside forward in the Scottish and English leagues, most notably for Partick Thistle, for whom he scored 113 goals in 198 appearances in all competitions. McKennan represented the Scottish and Irish League representative teams and is a member of the Partick Thistle Hall of Fame. He was nicknamed "Ma Ba", due to his desire to receive the ball into feet and dictate play.
Conrad Balatoni is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Berwick Rangers, on loan from Scottish League One club Clyde.
Stuart Bannigan is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Scottish Championship club Partick Thistle. A product of the club's youth setup, Bannigan played his first professional season on loan at the then Scottish Second Division side Ayr United. He also played for the Scotland U21 team.

Thomas O'Ware is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays for Kelty Hearts in Scottish League Two as a defender. O'Ware has previously played for Greenock Morton and Partick Thistle. He is also the Head Coach with the Troon F.C. Development Team, who compete in the Lowland Development League (West).
The 2012–13 season was Partick Thistle's seventh consecutive season in the Scottish First Division, having been promoted from the Scottish Second Division at the end of the 2005–06 season. Partick Thistle also competed in the Challenge Cup, League Cup and the Scottish Cup.
James Craigen is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Spartans in Scottish League Two. He started his career at Preston North End, where he spent 10 years as a youth player. He was also part of the Edinburgh University team; the university which he was a student at. He then made the leap from non-league football to Scotland's second tier, joining Scottish First Division club Partick Thistle where, against Greenock Morton, he scored the decisive goal that sealed Thistle's promotion to the Scottish Premiership. He has also spent time on loan at Forfar Athletic, and after leaving Partick Thistle, played with Raith Rovers, Falkirk, Dunfermline Athletic, Arbroath and Edinburgh.
Ryan Marc Edwards is an Australian professional football player who plays as a midfielder for Spanish club SD Amorebieta.
