Jimmy Ndhlovu (born 18 December 1992) is a Zambian football striker who currently plays for Kabwe Warriors F.C. in the Zambian Premier League [1]
The Zambia national football team represents Zambia in association football and is governed by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ). During the 1980s, they were known as the KK 11, after founding president Dr. Kenneth Kaunda ("KK") who ruled Zambia from 1964 to 1991. After the country adopted multiparty politics, the side was nicknamed Chipolopolo which means the "Copper Bullets". The team won an Africa Cup of Nations title in 2012. This team has also become the most successful team in the COSAFA Cup, surpassing Zimbabwe after winning the 2023 edition.

Freddie Mwila is a Zambian former association football player and coach. Rated as one of the country's greatest players and coaches, he featured for Rhokana United and was one of the first Zambians to play professional football abroad when he joined American side Atlanta Chiefs in 1967. Mwila also played for Aston Villa in England and made an impact as a coach, leading Power Dynamos to the 1991 African Cup Winners' Cup and coached several other club sides as well as the Zambia and Botswana national teams.
Dick Chama was a Zambian footballer and coach who played as a centre-back. He was Zambia's defensive stalwart from the late '60s to the mid '70s and formed a formidable central defence pairing alongside Dickson Makwaza and was part of Zambia's squad during the country's very first CAN outing in 1974 and made the official CAF team of the tournament. Chama was voted Zambian Sportsman of the Year in 1975 and after retirement, he coached several club sides as well as the national team.
Boniface Simutowe was one of Zambia's greatest midfielders who also had a long career as a coach. Nicknamed 'Chest Master,' he was the first footballer to be named Zambian Footballer of the Year and Sportsman of the Year in the same season and was part of the great Kabwe Warriors side that swept all the silverware on offer in 1972. He later took to coaching and was involved with the national team for several years.

Philemon Mulala was a Zambian footballer who was best known for scoring two goals in the 1984 CECAFA Cup semi-final against Kenya, on their way to their first ever cup triumph. Nicknamed Shombo, he featured for Mufulira Wanderers in the same team as his elder brother, central defender Philemon Kaunda but is not related to Evans Mulala who also played in central defence in the same team.
George Sikazwe was a former Zambian footballer and coach, who played for Mufulira Wanderers and Zambia as a midfielder, representing his country before and after independence. He also served as Wanderers' coach and together with Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu, he is credited with masterminding the team's early success.

The current holders are Red Arrows, who defeated Kabwe Warriors 2-1 in the 2024 match.
The 2022 Zambian Charity Shield was the 57th Charity Shield, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's Super League and the ABSA Cup winners. The match was played by Red Arrows the champions of the 2021–22 season and the winners of the 2021 ABSA Cup, Lusaka Dynamos. Joseph Phiri's first-half strike won the match securing a notable 1–0 over Lusaka Dynamos for Red Arrows.
