The Jindal Centre for Social Innovation + Entrepreneurship (JSiE), is a research and innovation unit of O. P. Jindal Global University which aims to strengthen the capacity for social innovation and sustainability leadership through online learning and incubation to social impact startups in the Delhi, India area.

Tibetan Entrepreneur Incubation

JSiE is an incubation partner to the Tibetan Entrepreneurship Development initiative, conducting three annual incubation cycles supporting Tibetan entrepreneurs living in India. [1] [2] [3] JSiE is a member of UBI Global Incubation Network and the Global Social Entrepreneurship Network.

Online Learning

JSiE has created a series of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in partnership with FutureLearn, Europe's leading online social learning platform. In 2019, JSiE launched an online course on impact investing. The course was created in partnership with the Asha Impact, one of India's leading impact funds and development think tanks. [4]

International Social Innovation Challenge (ISIC-15)

ISIC-15, an inaugural event organized jointly by O. P. Jindal Global University, the University of Southampton and the Lahore University of Management Sciences, took place in August 2015 and was designed around the theme of ‘Empowering Women through Safer Communities' in Delhi, India. [5] The format consisted of students from India, Pakistan, and UK students divided into teams and undergoing 10 days of skill-focused workshops to facilitate the creation of sustainable social enterprises. [6] ISIC-15 was featured on the NDTV program Heads-Up. [7]

The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) is a non-profit membership organization founded in 2002 on the campus of Springfield Technical Community College in Springfield, Massachusetts. It is an organization of educators, presidents, and entrepreneurs. The association represents technical and community colleges, including more than 2,500 faculty, staff, administrators, and presidents who serve nearly 4 million students.

Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur (E-Cell) is a non-profit student’s organization dedicated to promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship among students throughout India. Established in 2006 under the aegis of STEP, IIT Kharagpur, E-Cell has since been involved in more than 70 startup companies in the initial stages of their existence. It is a student body under Rajendra Mishra School of Engineering Entrepreneurship (RMSOEE), IIT Kharagpur and has taken up various initiatives to promote new ventures by students of IIT Kharagpur and students across the country.

Microsoft Innovation Center

Microsoft Innovation Centers (MICs) are local government organizations, universities, industry organizations, or software or hardware vendors who partner with Microsoft with a common goal to foster the growth of local software economies. These are state of the art technology facilities which are open to students, developers, IT professionals, entrepreneurs, startups and academic researchers. While each Center tunes its programs to local needs, they all provide similar content and services designed to accelerate technology advances and stimulate local software economies through skills and professional training, industry partnerships and innovation. As of 10 September 2010, there are 115 Microsoft Innovation Centers worldwide, most of which are open to the public. Recently it was reported that Microsoft had proposed to build about 100 innovation centers in India, and several in China. Some innovation centers have also started to develop in Pakistan.

O. P. Jindal Global University Private university in Haryana, India

O.P. Jindal Global , formerly and still informally known as O. P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a private university located at Sonipat, Haryana, India. It was established in 2009 as a philanthropic initiative of its founding chancellor, Naveen Jindal in memory of his father, O.P. Jindal. In 2019, UGC named JGU as an Institute of Eminence, making it one of the ten private universities in India to have received the distinction.

Open University of West Africa

Open University of West Africa (OUWA) was founded in Ghana November 2011 by John Roberts and Patrick Steele. With the goal to break the poverty cycle in West Africa through online education, John Roberts and his co-founder were inspired by a simple but contradictory observation: at the moment higher education penetration in Africa was very low, many of the best universities around the world were beginning to put their courses online through platforms like Coursera, edX, Udacity etc.

faHarvard Innovation Labs (i-Lab) is an institution which aims to promote team-based and entrepreneurial activities among Harvard students, faculty, entrepreneurs, and members of the Allston and Greater Boston communities. The i-Lab's mission is to bring together students from Harvard's various schools to foster innovation across the University.

The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay

The Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Bombay, also known as E-Cell, IIT Bombay, is the primary entrepreneurship promoting body of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, managed and run completely by the students of the institute. It organizes initiatives like the annual business plan competition Eureka! and the flagship event, The Entrepreneurship Summit (E-Summit) in January each year, which receives a footfall of over 26,000.

UCL School of Management

The UCL School of Management is the business school of University College London (UCL) and is located in Canary Wharf and Bloomsbury, London. The school offers undergraduate, postgraduate, executive and PhD programmes in management with a focus on innovation, technology, analytics and entrepreneurship.

Kerala Startup Mission

Kerala Startup Mission is the central agency of the Government of Kerala for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in Kerala, India. KSUM was primarily founded to undertake the planning, establishment, and management of the Technology Business Incubator (TBI), a startup accelerator in Kerala, to promote technology-based entrepreneurship activities, and to create the infrastructure and environment required to support high-technology-based businesses.

The Hubli Sandbox in Hubballi, India is an ecosystem launched by Deshpande Foundation that supports mission-driven individuals to come up with sustainable and scalable enterprises having social and economic impact. It's a co-creation of Dr. Gururaj "Desh" Deshpande, Indian American venture capitalist and entrepreneur and his wife Jaishree Deshpande.

SETsquared

The SETsquared Partnership, usually known simply as SETsquared, is a business incubation network run by five universities in Southern England. SETsquared stands for Southern England Technology Triangle. The partnership was formed in 2002, between the University of Bath, the University of Bristol, the University of Southampton and the University of Surrey. The University of Exeter joined the partnership in 2011.

Social entrepreneurship in South Asia involves business activities that have a social benefit, often for people at the bottom of the pyramid. It is an emerging area of entrepreneurship that is supported by both the public sector and the private sector.
