Jingkou (Chinese :靖口镇) is a town located in the Taibai County of Baoji, Shaanxi, China. [1]

Taibai Jinxing also referred to as Tai Bai Jin Xing, is a fictional character in the Chinese classical novel Journey to the West. He was an envoy of the Jade Emperor, the ruler of Heaven. After hearing of the appearance of Sun Wukong, the Jade Emperor tasked Taibai Jinxing to summon him to Heaven. Initially Taibai Jinxing was the first person from Heaven that was to see Sun Wukong. After which Sun Wukong consented to leave with Taibai Jinxing. However, Sun Wukong was angry at the fact that he was appointed as the Protector of the Horses, and rebelled against Heaven. This led to Taibai Jinxing to once again act as a messenger and somewhat a friend toward Sun Wukong. Taibai Jinxing was not mentioned after the first few chapters of Journey to the West. Taibai Jinxing was also the reason the other members of Journey to the West, such as Zhu Bajie to be alive. In Chinese astronomy, Taibai Jinxing is the name for Venus. Taibai Jinxing is also associated as the messenger god of Shenism, or the Chinese folk religion.
The Taibai stream salamander is a species of salamander in the family Hynobiidae endemic to the Taibai Mountains of Shaanxi, China. Its natural habitat is rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss.
The Second Encirclement Campaign against Hubei-Henan-Shaanxi Soviet was a campaign launched by the Chinese Nationalist Government that was intended to destroy the communist Hubei-Henan-Shaanxi Soviet and its local Red Army. It was met with the Communists' Second Counter-Encirclement Campaign at Hubei-Henan-Shaanxi Soviet. The local Red Army successfully defended their territory in the tri-provincial border region from February 1935 to April 18, 1935.
