The Joan Gamper Trophy or Joan Gamper Cup is an annual friendly football match held in August, before the start of FC Barcelona's La Liga season, where top division clubs from Europe compete against them. The competition is hosted by FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou stadium and is named in honour of Joan Gamper, a founding member, player, and later president of the club. The competition was inaugurated in 1966 by Enric Llaudet, one of Gamper's successors as club president. The trophy itself is an 800-gram (1.8 lb) silver cup with five micrometres of gold finishing, on top of a 10-kilogram (22 lb) marble plinth base.
Joan Gaspart Solves is a Spanish businessman and a former FC Barcelona president between July 2000 and February 2003. He was born in Barcelona. He is known as one of the best vice presidents of the club but one of the worst presidents. Gaspart spent all the money taken from the sale of Luís Figo to Real Madrid, buying Emmanuel Petit and Marc Overmars from Arsenal and Gerard from Valencia.
Juan José Nogués Portalatín, also known as Joan Josep Nogués, was a Spanish Aragonese footballer and manager. During the 1930s and 1940s, he played as a goalkeeper for FC Barcelona, the Catalan XI and Spain. He later became manager of several La Liga clubs including CF Barcelona, Gimnàstic de Tarragona and RCD Español.
Enrique Fernández Viola, commonly referred to as Enrique Fernández, was a Uruguayan football player and manager who played for Nacional, Talleres (RE), Independiente, FC Barcelona, Uruguay and the Catalan XI. As a manager, he won two Uruguayan championships with Nacional and La Liga titles with both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. Along with Radomir Antic, he is one of only two coaches to have taken charge of both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid and he is the only coach to have won La Liga titles with both. He was born in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Josep Escolà Segalés, also referred to as José Escolà, was a Spanish footballer who played as a forward. He spent most of his club career at FC Barcelona. Escolà also played for both Spain and the Catalan XI. After retiring as player in 1948, Escolà managed CF Badalona, CE Sabadell FC, CD Castellón and Levante UD.
Alejandro Morera Soto was a Costa Rican football player, who played as a striker mostly for Alajuelense in the Costa Rican Primera División. He is considered one of the best and most talented players of all time in Costa Rica.

The history of Futbol Club Barcelona goes from the football club's founding in 1899 and up to current time. FC Barcelona, also known simply as Barcelona and familiarly as Barça, is based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The team was founded in 1899 by a group of Swiss, English, German and Spanish footballers led by Joan Gamper. The club played amateur football until 1910 in various regional competitions. In 1910, the club participated in their first of many European competitions, and has since amassed fourteen UEFA trophies and a sextuple. In 1928, Barcelona co-founded La Liga, the top-tier in Spanish football, along with a string of other clubs. As of 2020, Barcelona has never been relegated from La Liga, a record they share with Athletic Bilbao and arch-rival Real Madrid.
The FC Barcelona museum was inaugurated on 24 September 1984 under the presidency of Josep Lluís Nuñez. In 2000, the museum was renamed President Nuñez museum under the presidency of his successor, Joan Gaspart. On 15 June 2010, the museum was reopened after a long restructuring.
Ricard Graells was president of FC Barcelona from 10 June 1919 to 27 June 1920. He took over the club after the founder Joan Gamper resigned presidency for the third time. Under his presidency the team won both a Campionat de Catalunya and a Copa del Rey. He rose the cost of membership from two to three pesetas, and paid of 16,000 pesetas in debt, making the club debt-free for the first time in its 20-year history.
Josep Maria Bartomeu i Floreta is a Spanish entrepreneur, and a former president of football club FC Barcelona. He started his presidency in 2014, following the resignation of Sandro Rosell; he held the post until his resignation in 2020. He was replaced by interim FC Barcelona president Carlos Tusquets, and afterwards by election winner Joan Laporta.
