Joanna Gardzińska is a Polish arachnologist. [1]

She graduated in 1994 from the Jagiellonian University, Krakow. From 1995, she has been employed in the Department of Zoology at what is now the Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities, Poland. She gained her PhD from there in 2004 when the institution had a different title (Akademia Podlaska). [1]

Her research interests are in the taxonomy and biogeography of Salticidae (jumping spiders), particularly of the Australian and Oriental Regions. [1] As of April 2017, the World Spider Catalog listed one genus name and 26 species names or synonyms of which she is either a co-author or the sole author. [2] [3]

Neoapachella is a monotypic genus of North American mygalomorph trapdoor spiders in the family Euctenizidae containing the single species, Neoapachella rothi. It was first described by Jason Bond & B. D. Opell in 2002, and has only been found in Arizona and New Mexico. They are small to medium-sized spiders, reaching about 20.7 mm (0.81 in) in body length. It is named in honor of the Apaches as well as arachnologist Vincent D. Roth.

Michael Gordon Rix is an Australian arachnologist, whose publications mainly concern spiders.

Günter Schmidt (arachnologist)

Günter E. W. Schmidt was a German arachnologist and author of a standard German work on tarantulas, Die Vogelspinnen. He has been described as one of the fathers of German arachnology.

Yimbulunga is a genus of spiders in the family Salticidae. It was first described in 2014 by three arachnologists, Galina Azarkina, Anthony Russell-Smith and Wanda Wesołowska, in a joint publication with Wesołowska as the lead author. As of 2017, it contains only one species, Yimbulunga foordi, found in South Africa.

Michael I. Saaristo was a Finnish arachnologist, with a particular interest in the spiders of the Seychelles. The World Spider Catalog lists 61 genus names or synonyms and 109 species names or synonyms of which he is the sole or co-author.

Marek Michał Żabka is a Polish arachnologist. His main research area is the spider family Salticidae, especially their systematics and biogeography. He has produced nearly 80 scientific publications, popular science articles and a book. The World Spider Catalog lists 25 genus names or synonyms and 237 species names or synonyms of which he is either the sole author or a co-author. Nine jumping spider species and one ant spider species have been given the specific name zabkai.

Barbara Maria Patoleta is a Polish arachnologist who specialises in the taxonomy, evolution and zoogeography of jumping spiders in the Pacific Islands.

Jerzy Prószyński Polish arachnologist

Jerzy Prószyński is a Polish arachnologist specializing in systematics of jumping spiders. He is a graduate of the University of Warsaw, a long-term employee of the Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities and the Institute of Zoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.

Barbara Baehr is a German research scientist, entomologist, arachnologist, and spider taxonomist. She has described over 400 new spider species, mostly from Australia. She is originally from Pforzheim, Germany.

Cytaea taveuniensis is a jumping spider species in the genus Cytaea. The male was first identified in 2010 by Barbara Maria Patoleta and Joanna Gardzińska. The female has not been described.

Heliophanus wesolowskae is a jumping spider species in the genus Heliophanus. It was first identified in 1997.
