The Saskatchewan Party is a centre-right political party in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Since 2007, it has been the province's governing party; both the party and the province are currently led by Premier Scott Moe. The party was established in 1997 by a coalition of former provincial Progressive Conservative and Liberal party members and supporters who sought to remove the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party (NDP) from power.

Wall's Saskatchewan Party government was re-elected with an increased majority of 49 seats, the third-largest majority government in the province's history. The opposition New Democratic Party was cut down to only nine ridings, its worst showing in almost 30 years.
Gordon S. Wyant, QC is a lawyer and politician from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Wyant currently serves as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan since winning a by-election in 2010. He resigned from Cabinet after announcing on August 25, 2017 that he would be running for the Saskatchewan Party Leadership to replace Premier Brad Wall. Wyant lost the leadership election to Scott Moe. When Moe was sworn in as premier, he appointed Wyant as Deputy Premier and Minister of Education.

The residential area is constructed around the village centre and a larger district village. The subdivision was created in 2010. Cathy Sproule is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan in the 2011 election. She represented the electoral district of Saskatoon Nutana as a member of the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party caucus from 2011 to 2020. She was re-elected in the 2016 election. She did not seek re-election the 2020 election and retired from politics.

The 2016 Saskatchewan general election, was held on April 4, 2016, to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. The Lieutenant Governor dissolved the Legislature on March 8, 2016, setting the election date for April 4. The election resulted in the Saskatchewan Party winning its third majority government. This is the first time in 90 years that a party other than the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party (NDP) or its predecessor, the Saskatchewan Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) has won three consecutive majority governments in Saskatchewan. It is also the first time that a centre-right party has won three consecutive elections in the province.
