Joe Karas was an American politician and businessman.
Born in Rice County, Minnesota, Karas was a farmer and manager of Farm Mutual Fire Insurance Company. He served in local government. He served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1949 to 1955 while residing in Pine City, Minnesota. [1]

The Minnesota Twins are an American professional baseball team based in Minneapolis. The Twins compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the American League (AL) Central Division. The team is named after the Twin Cities area which includes the two adjoining cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Walter Frederick "Fritz" Mondale was an American lawyer and politician who served as the 42nd vice president of the United States from 1977 to 1981 under President Jimmy Carter. A U.S. senator from Minnesota from 1964 to 1976, he was the Democratic Party's nominee in the 1984 presidential election, but lost to incumbent Ronald Reagan in an Electoral College and popular vote landslide. Reagan won 49 states while Mondale carried his home state of Minnesota and the District of Columbia. His vice presidential nominee, U.S. Representative Geraldine Ferraro from New York, was the first female vice-presidential nominee of any major party in U.S. history.
David Ferdinand Durenberger was an American politician and attorney. Durenberger represented Minnesota in the United States Senate as a Republican from 1978 to 1995. He left the Republican Party in 2005 and became a critic of it, endorsing Democratic presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden in 2016 and 2020, respectively.

Joe Harasymiak is an American college football coach who is the defensive coordinator at Rutgers University, a position he has held since 2022. He previously the co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach at the University of Minnesota. In December 2015, Harasymiak became the youngest head coach in NCAA Division I football when he was named to the post at the University of Maine. He served as head coach of the Maine Black Bears from 2016 to 2018, leading them to a record of 20–15 in three season. His 2018 Maine Black Bears football team won the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Division I Football Championship playoffs.
Shane Robert Bieber is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos baseball team as a walk-on. He was drafted by the Indians in the fourth round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft. Bieber made his MLB debut with Cleveland in 2018, was named an All-Star in 2019 and 2021, and received the American League's 2020 Cy Young Award.
