Joe Waskom (born 12 April 2001) is an American track and field athlete who competes as a middle-distance runner. [1]
From Snoqualmie, Washington he attended Mount Si High School. [2] Running for the Washington Huskies, Waskom initially competed as a steeplechaser. [3] He won the NCAA Division 1 title in the 1500m in 2022. [4]
Waskom finished second in the 1500m at the US national championships in July 2023 in Eugene, Oregon. [5] That month he also set new personal best time of 3:34.64 in Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy. [6] He was selected for the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest in August 2023. [7]

Shannon Solares-Rowbury is an American middle-distance runner from San Francisco, California. After competing collegiately for Duke University, she turned professional in 2007. Rowbury has represented the United States at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics. She also represented the United States at the World Championships in 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2017, winning the bronze medal in the 1500 meters in 2009. In 2015, Rowbury helped set the world record with the U.S. team for the distance medley relay event, and set a then-American record for 1500 meters on July 17, 2015, breaking Mary Slaney's 32 year-old mark with a time of 3:56.29.
Jennifer Simpson is an American middle- and long-distance runner, formerly a steeplechaser. She won the gold medal in the 1500 meters at the 2011 World Championships, silvers at the 2013 and 2017 World Championships, and a bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics, becoming the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in the event.
Evan Reese Jager is an American middle- and long-distance runner who specializes in the 3000 metres steeplechase. Sophie O'Sullivan is an Irish athlete. She won a silver medal in the 800 metres at the 2018 European Athletics U18 Championships in Győr, Hungary. O'Sullivan won 1500 metres gold at the 2023 European Athletics U23 Championships in Espoo, Finland. She is currently an NCAA Division I athlete representing the University of Washington.
