The TRACK at New Balance is a 455,000 square foot facility housing a track and field stadium located near Boston Landing station in Boston Massachusetts.

Contents

Construction began in April 2019 and the facility opened in 2022. [2] The facility was designed by architecture firm Elkus Manfredi and was a finalist for the 2023 World Architecture News Awards in the leisure category. [3]

The facility includes a 200 meter hydraulically-banked track and allows space for 5,000 spectators. There's also 24,000 square feet dedicated athletes warming-up, a separate live music entertainment venue for up to 3,500 people, and a 20,000 square foot sports research lab. The track can also be converted to space for basketball and volleyball courts as well as turf fields. [4]

Cole Hocker is an American middle and long-distance runner. He holds multiple national titles in annual competitions organized by USA Track & Field, including three titles in the 1500 meters and one title in the 3000 meters. In March 2024, he won a silver medal in the 1500 m at the 2024 World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow. Hocker also placed sixth in the 1500 m at the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo and seventh at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
