[4] For his performance on the year Whitman earned first team All-Mid-American Conference (MAC), and was named the MAC Pitcher of the Year. He was also named a first team All-American. [5]

Professional career

Whitman was selected by the San Francisco Giants with the 69th overall pick in the 2023 Major League Baseball draft. [6] [7] He signed with the Giants for $805,575. [8]
