Joel Alf Ivar Gistedt (born December 7, 1987) is a former professional Swedish ice hockey goaltender. [1] He last played for Kristianstads IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv). Gistedt was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2nd round (36th overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft whilst playing as a youth in Frölunda HC organization.

Playing career

After stints with Rögle BK and Karlskoga of the HockeyAllsvenskan on April 18, 2013, Gistedt joined Leksands IF in the Swedish Hockey League. [2]

Gistedt returned to Karlskoga of the Allsvenskan on an initial loan before signing a one-year deal on May 13, 2015. [3]

International play

He was the starting goalie for the Swedish national junior team in the 2007 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. Gistedt won LG Hockey Games and Euro Hockey Tour in 2007. He played against Russia on LG Hockey Games 2007 then Sweden won 6:2.

The team has reached the finals of the Swedish Championships only once, in 1950, a match which they lost 7–2 to Djurgårdens IF. Mora has played in the top two tiers of Swedish hockey since the 1944–45 season.

Oliver Oscar Emanuel Ekman-Larsson is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League (NHL). Known by his initials "OEL", Ekman-Larsson was selected sixth overall by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. Previously seen as one of the NHL's top offensive defencemen, Ekman-Larsson led the Coyotes in scoring in both the 2014–15 and 2015–16 seasons. After 11 seasons with Arizona, Ekman-Larsson was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in 2021, where he spent two seasons before signing with the Florida Panthers. In his only season with the Panthers, Ekman-Larsson won the Stanley Cup in 2024.

Joacim Eriksson is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender currently playing with Schwenninger Wild Wings of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Eriksson played several years in the Swedish junior leagues, making his professional debut in 2008. He was subsequently drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, though never signed with the team. In 2013 Eriksson signed with the Vancouver Canucks and joined their minor league affiliate in the American Hockey League. He appeared in one game for the Canucks in 2014 and returned to Sweden after two years in North America. Internationally Eriksson played for Sweden at both the under-18 and senior level, winning a gold medal at the 2007 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and a bronze at the 2014 World Championships.

The 2012 Kvalserien was the 38th Kvalserien, which was played between 15 March 2012 and 6 April 2012. It determined which two teams of the participating ones would play in the 2012–13 Elitserien season and which four teams would play in the 2012–13 HockeyAllsvenskan season.

The 2012–13 HockeyAllsvenskan season was the 8th season of the HockeyAllsvenskan, the second-highest level of ice hockey in Sweden. The regular season began on 12 September 2012 and ended on 2 March 2013, with the following playoffs and Kvalserien tournaments running until 5 April 2013. Leksands IF, following a season marked by financial instability and scandal, secured first place in the regular season standings, and continued to the qualification round for the 2013–14 SHL/Elitserien season, along with second-place Södertälje SK, third place VIK Västerås HK, and playoff winner Örebro HK. Meanwhile, 13th- and 14th-ranked Tingsryds AIF and Karlskrona HK were forced to defend their places in HockeyAllsvenskan for the 2013–14 season.

Wilhelm Westlund is a Swedish professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing with BIK Karlskoga of the HockeyAllsvenskan (Allsv). He was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the 7th round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The 2014–15 HockeyAllsvenskan season was the tenth season of the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden under that name. The league featured 14 teams, including Stockholm-based AIK, who were relegated from the SHL following four seasons in the top league. Also joining HockeyAllsvenskan was HC Vita Hästen, which marked the return of elite-level hockey to Norrköping. A previous Vita Hästen club had played in Sweden's second-tier league until the 1995–96 season, but following that club's bankruptcy in 1996, the new Vita Hästen club rebuilt from the bottom of the league system, culminating in their promotion back to the second tier in the 2014 HockeyAllsvenskan qualifiers.
