Johan Buttedahl (born 5 October 1935) is a Norwegian dentist and politician for the Centre Party. [1] He was a member of the Parliament of Norway from 1981 to 1989, representing Buskerud. From 1989 he was appointed "county dentist" of Buskerud. [2]
Buskerud is a county and a current electoral district in Norway, bordering Akershus, Oslo, Oppland, Sogn og Fjordane, Hordaland, Telemark and Vestfold. The region extends from the Oslofjord and Drammensfjorden in the southeast to Hardangervidda mountain range in the northwest. The county administration was in modern times located in Drammen. Buskerud was merged with Akershus and Østfold into the newly created Viken County on 1 January 2020. On the 23 February 2022 Viken County Council voted in a 49 against 38 decision to submit an application to the Norwegian government for a county demerger. Due to this, Buskerud was re-established in 2024.

The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Gol which is also the population center. Gol was established as a municipality on 1 January 1838. The area of Hemsedal was separated from Gol in 1897 to become a separate municipality. The municipality of Gol is bordered to the north by the municipality of Nord-Aurdal, to the east by Sør-Aurdal, to the south by Nes, and to the west by Ål and Hemsedal.
Christopher Andersen Hornsrud was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He served as leader of the Labour Party from 1903 to 1906 and became a member of the Storting in 1912. In 1928, he became the first Norwegian prime minister from the Labour Party and served as the 18th prime minister of Norway, but the cabinet had a weak parliamentary basis and was only in office for three weeks from January to February. He combined the post of prime minister with that of minister of Finance. After resigning he became vice-president of the Storting, a position he held until 1934.

Simen Mustrøens besynderlige oplevelser is a Norwegian film from 1926 based on a story by Johan Falkberget. The film was directed by Harry Ivarson with cinematography by Erling Knudsen and Johannes Bentzen. It is now considered lost.
Buskerud is one of the 19 multi-member constituencies of the Storting, the national legislature of Norway. The constituency was established in 1921 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Storting. It consists of the municipalities of Ål, Drammen, Flå, Gol, Hemsedal, Hol, Hole, Jevnaker, Kongsberg, Krødsherad, Lier, Modum, Nesbyen, Nore og Uvdal, Øvre Eiker, Ringerike, Rollag and Sigdal in the county of Viken. The constituency currently elects seven of the 169 members of the Storting using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2021 parliamentary election it had 191,637 registered electors.
