Glamorgan County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Glamorgan. Founded in 1888,Glamorgan held minor status at first and was a prominent member of the early Minor Counties Championship before the First World War. In 1921,the club joined the County Championship and the team was elevated to first-class status,subsequently playing in every top-level domestic cricket competition in England and Wales.
Inter-county cricket matches have been played since the early 18th century,involving teams that are representative of the historic counties of England and Wales. Since the late 19th century,there have been two county championship competitions played at different levels:the County Championship,a first-class competition which involves eighteen first-class county clubs among which seventeen are English and one is from Wales;and the National Counties Championship,which involves nineteen English county clubs and one club that represents several Welsh counties.

After the end of his first-class career,he played Minor Counties Cricket and later became a first-class umpire.
Brunton Memorial Ground is a cricket ground at Radlett in Hertfordshire. The ground is the home of Radlett Cricket Club and,since 2013,has been used as an outground by Middlesex County Cricket Club. It was used occasionally by Hertfordshire County Cricket Club between 1975 and 2008 for Minor Counties Championship matches.

Norman Michael McVicker was an English cricketer. Having failed to establish himself with either Lancashire or Derbyshire,where he had trialled,McVicker initially played county cricket at minor counties cricket level for Lincolnshire. His performances in minor counties cricket were noticed by Warwickshire,who signed him at the age of 28 in 1969. He played five seasons with Warwickshire,winning the 1972 County Championship and taking 300 first-class wickets. He was released by Warwickshire at the end of the 1973 season and subsequently played for Leicestershire for three seasons from 1974–1976,winning both the County Championship and Benson &Hedges Cup in 1975. He retired at the end of the 1976 season,but came out of retirement in 1977 to play one-day cricket for Leicestershire,before retiring again at the end of that season.
Andrew Graham Salter is a Welsh cricketer. Salter is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. He was born at Haverfordwest,Pembrokeshire,and was educated at Milford Haven School.
