John Thomas Ball (born May 10, 1990) is an American Christian musician and guitarist, who plays alternative rock, folk rock, indie folk and indie rock music. He has released three extended plays, Found Among the Broken (2010), John Ball (2013), and By Declaration & the Death (2016).

Early life and education

John Thomas Ball was born on May 10, 1990, [1] [2] [3] in Birmingham, Alabama, [4] where he graduated from Oak Mountain High School in 2008. [5] He received his baccalaureate degree majoring in music business from Belmont University in 2011. Ball is currently in the process of obtaining his master's degree in theology from Liberty University. [6] [7]

Career

His music career began in 2009, with the band, The Sleep Design, where he is the bassist. He released a solo extended play, Found Among the Broken, on November 16, 2010. [8] [9] [10] The subsequent extended play, John Ball, was released on May 21, 2013. [11] [12] [13] [14] His third extended play, By Declaration & the Death, was released on February 12, 2016. The band released an extended play, Rumors of Revolt, in 2009, with Facedown Records. Their first studio album, Can't Fight Robots, was released by Facedown Records, in 2008. The subsequent studio album, Atrocities, was released by Facedown Records, in 2009, as their final recording.

The Great Commission is an American Christian hardcore band from Riverside, California. The band started making music in 2007. Their original membership included Justin Singh, Angela Razo, D.J. Burr, Derek C, Matt B, & Chris Ryan with members Christian, Nelson, Rodney and Solomon joining in as members left. The band released an independently made extended play, The Great Commission, in 2008. They signed to Strike First Records, where they released, And Every Knee Shall Bow, a studio album, in 2009. XXI (formerly, A Feast for Kings (AFFK)) is an American Christian metal band that also takes influences from Alternative metal and Post-hardcore. Eric's death in 2014 was the reasoning behind the band's name change, with 'XXI' (Roman numerals for '21') being Eric's age at the time of his death. Hearts Like Lions was an American indie rock band, and they played an alternative rock music style. Hailing from Long Beach, California and were formed in 2011, they remained a band for the next 10 years. Their first extended play, These Hands, was released in 2014, with Tooth & Nail Records. Their single, "Stranger", broke through on the Billboard magazine Christian Rock chart.

Poured Out are an American metalcore band from Hollywood, Maryland, and they started making music together in 2014, playing hardcore punk and metalcore. They have released one extended play, Blind Heart (2016), with Facedown Records.
