Michael "Mikey" Sheehy is an Irish Gaelic football selector and former player. His league and championship career with the Kerry senior team spanned fifteen seasons from 1973 to 1988.
Monaghan United F.C. is an Irish association football club based in Monaghan currently playing in the Ulster Senior League. The club joined the League of Ireland in 1983 and subsequently went on to play in the B Division, the First Division and the Premier Division. They resigned from the league midway through the 2012 season. The club continued to field a women's team in the Dublin Women's Soccer League and, together with the Cavan Monaghan Underage League, they entered a combined team in the League of Ireland U13 Division, League of Ireland U15, U17 and the U19 League of Ireland Divisions, until 2020, whereupon the partnership was ended, the CMUL continued to field a team in the national underage leagues. In 2019 the club entered a senior team into the Monaghan Cavan League, and in 2021, the club joined the Ulster Senior League.

Kevin Bernard Moran is an Irish former footballer who excelled at the top levels in two codes: Gaelic and the association brand. In Gaelic football, he is known for his time at senior level with the Dublin county team, winning two All-Ireland Senior Football Championships with them, and in association ball for his career with Manchester United and Ireland. In 1985 he became the first man to be sent off in an FA Cup Final.

Erin's Isle have won the Dublin Senior Football Championship on two occasions in 1993 and 1997, also capturing the Leinster Club Football Championship in 1997. The club won the Dublin Juvenile Football Championship for the first time in 1983 and the Dublin Minor Football Championship for the first time in 1985. Erins Isle won the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship once, in 1983.
