John E. Cheetham was an American composer,educator,and professor emeritus at the University of Missouri where he was a longtime Professor of Music Theory and Composition. His works have been widely performed in the United States and around the world. He was a member of the Columbia Community Band. [1]
Born in Taos,New Mexico on January 13,1939,Cheetham would go on to attend the University of New Mexico where he would earn both bachelor's and master's degrees. He would attain a Doctor of Musical Arts in composition from the University of Washington. [2]
Cheetham became Professor of Music Theory and Composition at the University of Missouri School of Music in 1969. During his career,he would compose works for virtually all media and publish commercially. He retired from the University in 2000 and started his own label,Booneslick Press in 2001. [3]

Raymond Luedeke is an American / Canadian composer of contemporary classical music. Praised for his idiosyncratic instrumental writing and for his orchestration,Luedeke has more recently concentrated on works for music theatre. Although born in New York City,he spent 29 years as Associate Principal Clarinet with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra,a position he left in 2010. A dual citizen of the United States and Canada,Ray Luedeke is artistic director of Voice Afire Opera-Cabaret in New York City.
Michael Joseph Budds was an American musicologist,and longtime professor,at the University of Missouri in Columbia,Missouri. In addition to teaching,he wrote and edited a number of works,including a widely used textbook on American popular music. Also a philanthropist,he established the Budds Center for American Music Studies at the University of Missouri School of Music where he taught. He was the first musicologist inducted into the Missouri Music Hall of Fame. Budds taught at Missouri for 37 years,until his death on November 19,2020.
